The old fashioned I had here was trash. Straight up. The mixologist or bartender needs to get it together. Oysters had a weird after taste that was not spoiled but something else unpleasant. Would not come back. The ambiance was nice, though.

Service was excellent, food was so special! The grilled octopus was SO good, definitely a must. Their onion soup is awesome tops
We had the seafood stew which was perfection.
I wish they have more bread options like whole wheat rich bread, but that’s only me :)

This is a little gem for locals! We went there one of Friday nights, but earlier time. The restaurant looked half full, but later on after 7/7:30ish, the line for waiting table got long!
The service, drinks, and food are great! My BF and I shared charcuterie plate as for appetizer, I had mussels, my BF had fish for main. They were all tasty, in a big portion.
I like their menu in general, because they're not too heavy like everything cooked with heavy cream and fried.
We'll definitely come back again!!

Like your typical Parisian/French restaurant, they focus more on the food than its ambience and service. Despite the slow service, and "kinda rude" waiters, the food we had was fantastic! They ran out of Escargot on Valentines night lol but we very much enjoyed our food as well as the wine we picked. I also recommend their crème brûlée!
Parking is FREE after 5pm behind JC City Hall, which is a block away.

Had a delicious lunch for restaurant week. Love a good duck confit! The owners and the stuff are super nice as well!

Disappointing meal. Went during JC restaurant week and it seemed crowded. Waiter served wrong wine twice. While
Seafood stew, onion soup and escargot were tasty, steak frites was very salty. Service was extremely slow and we waited about 30+ mins for dessert due to staff hanging out and taking shots. We really wanted to love this place but don’t plan to return. Really disappointing experience for spending nearly $200.

I’ve had mixed experiences here, some delicious, some so-so. But tonight I ordered delivery and was really disappointed by this $13 side of shredded sautéed brussel sprouts… it couldn’t have been more than a cup total. I did appreciate they followed my side swap instructions though and the food was pretty good.
They moved to near Grove street station from the Paulus Hook area.
I just tried Mediterranean Seafood Stew. Highly recommend.
My wife even says it’s the best restaurant in Jersey City.

Atmosphere was nice and food was decent. Only flag was the service was quite slow. Server was on her phone for most of our meal - and even after requests for help, she still was not around. We had a few issues with our food and drinks and couldn’t get her attention. Seemed overpriced for what we got.

More convenient location but not as chill as the old place in Paulus Hook neighborhood.
Brunch is just average. Menu has been changed and not offering chicken waffle any more.
I ordered Tomato, Mozzarella, Prosciutto Sandwich but it came without tomato as first place (as picture shown). It also took much longer time than preparing the crepe dish, unsure how without even slicing the tomato. When asked waitress and she said this sandwich wouldn’t have tomato until I showed her the name from menu. I wouldn’t say her service bad but funny experience.
Still kept 3 stars for the old memory.

Went here with my girlfriends after Christmas and it was very quiet but the service was great and the food was good. We had some drinks to start, got a charcuterie board, our main meals and shared a bottle of Cote Du Rhone. It was very cozy on a cold winter night.

I went to Bistro La Source at 299 Marin Blvd, Jersey City, NJ today for lunch with good friend Terry. I was impressed by a lovely French ambiance. The food was very tasty, including perfectly prepared fried calamari with lemon and side sauce. We each ordered their Croque Monsieur which was delectable. Server Marcus McGinnity and chef Milton Bonilla are to be commended. Terry and I will surely return real soon.
