I used to bartend on Friday and Saturday! I absolutely adore this place! Great owners (RIP Tommy, I'm so glad we had the pleasure of knowing each other, you are missed.) Great manager! My girlfriend Chris works on Thursday so I support my girl! Love the music! The energy! The people are what make this place shine though! I'm proud to have had a part in this! Been there once. Wasn't busy at all but it was late night on a week night. Bartender was friendly and nice, other patrons there were very cool and laid back. Nice place; I gotta check them out again.

The "new" Bobby Dees is everything you need in a neighborhood bar: - affordable drinks - friendly bartender - local events (like comedy nights) - some light bites (when I went they were only serving pizza but the bartender informed me that they would be extending the menu soon) - ample seating - right around the corner from me Definitely a solid neighborhood bar.

So for the World Cup final today Bobby Dees advertised they would be open. I showed up at 10:45 (game at 11) figuring they'd be open. They weren't. No big deal, come back at 11. Come back at 11:10, still not open. So I leave a comment on Facebook about it. They straight up deleted the comments. No explanation, no apology, just *poof*. Not my fault you didn't follow through with what you advertised multiple times on Facebook and didn't even explain. They could've just said "hey, running a couple minutes behind and now we're open!" No wonder no one goes there.

I actually grew up in this neighborhood so when I heard that one of the neighborhood bars from my formative years had recently acquired new ownership, management, and a long overdue facelift, I placed it stop of my must see list. Thankfully, I was not disappointed. The venue is cozy yet modern while still maintaining a local tavern feel. Drink and beer prices were more than reasonable and the vibe was just right, with a good mix of local regulars, young professionals and even college students. Brian, the bartender, was friendly, attentive, and seemed to really enjoy having me as a guest. He schooled me on the latest happenings, not only at the bar, but in my old neighborhood as well. He also told me they have live music on the weekends and a local comedy show every other Wednesday so I will definitely be back for more!!! Definitely worth checking out!!
