Absolutely the best staff ever! Celebrated my birthday there last Saturday eve 4/27/2024. Multi-generational crowd at my table and every single one of them loved this place. Top notch, friendly and professional service and yummy food. To our waitress Madison, our runners Ryan, Luis and Alex, bussers Felipe and Daniel and my birthday posse Manssa, JC and Kelly: thank you very much for a great time!

2 Coronas2 shots of house tequila$44Suggested gratuity $8The nerve…the gumption….They are very busy as well so they have enough foot traffic that they should be able to price their drinks better. I would expect to pay that for specialty cocktails….. if you were planning to spend the whole time here expect to pay over $250 to get drunk.Great vibe though if you want to pregame and then nurse one beer there the whole night.

Everything was good besides the food. Atmosphere was wonderful. Drinks were great. Food was not seasoned properly and the quality was not what I expected. The music also wasn’t great for a Friday night. I thought it would be a country kind of night but it turned out to be a throwback evening to other things. Definitely not the vibe I had expected or was looking for.The dessert had granola in it and it was an apple cobbler, tasted super weird. Definitely not a place I would go to for dinner again, especially not on a date night.

Went in for a late night snack alone after work. Was greeted promptly by a gentleman. No place to sit at the bar so I sat elsewhere by choice. The female server was not so attentive, never told me her name or really even addressed me. She brought me the spicy margarita I ordered through the gentleman and I asked for the chicken nachos. Nachos were excellent. Drink ok. I waited about 15 minutes once my first drink was finished for the female server to ask me if I wanted something else. I did order 1 more drink. Took an additional 10 minutes to receive, without a single word from the server. She then dropped the bill on the table and walked away. No thank you etc. service needs an upgrade but overall is worth visiting again.

This place is the worst and the bouncer here is on some sort of power trip. I’m sitting at the bar having a couple of drinks with my friend. She gets the cheque so we can go home and goes to the bathroom. When she comes out she couldn’t find where I was sitting (it’s a long bar and she can’t see very well since she can’t wear contact lenses due to allergies). She asks someone where I’m sitting. Instead of being helpful, bouncer kicks her out for being too inebriated. All her stuff was inside, including coat, phone, purse, money etc. It’s also freezing outside. It’s insane to me that they wouldn’t let her in to get her stuff or sign the cheque. We were leaving anyway, not like we wanted to stay. Couldn’t the bouncer just escort her inside, let her sign the cheque, get her stuff and leave? Instead of getting a bartender to tell me she’s outside and making me get her card and stuff? I mean what if she’d only just met me? Never seen this happen in any establishment. She hadn’t done anything, the bartenders were happily serving her.Wait, there’s more. First time I went in Boots N Bones, I just went for happy hour, not to eat. Was shocked when I ended up with a bill of almost $100. I’d got chatting to a girl who’s friends with the bartender. If I’m offered a shot by a bartender I presume it’s on the house. Well not here, I got charged for it. I also got charged for a random alcopop that should have definitely not been on my tab. (Who drinks those nowadays?) Wanted to complain but girl says well bartender is my friend, he probably hooked you up. Nope, I paid extra, yay!Boots n Bones did a massive influencer push getting influencers to create Instagram reels when it opened but honestly there’s better BBQ elsewhere in Jersey City (give Hamilton Pork a try). Under the Boot is way too rowdy. Just a mess of a place, don’t want to go back here.

Went here today to celebrate my friend’s wedding. I ordered a Boots & Bones Burger with fries. I drank lemonade twice and tap water. Not too many of the guest were happy with the tap water and fountain sodas not be being fizzy enough. Not sure if I visit this restaurant again. 3/5 - review grade

Really good BBQ will definitely be back! Wait time for the food was quite long but the amazing service provided by our waitress Miranda really sold the great experience.

This is the place right out of the train. Since I had few minutes to kill to catch a ride home I hopped in for a drink and was greeted with "we at last call". Hello to you too. Not my first rodeo here and never felt welcomed. Gave it a chance few times. Place is straight up not friendly. Bartenders tend to locals who want free refills but not much inviting to ppl who just walk in for a drink just. Whoever manages this place needs to check their things. Hostess seems to be working beyond her hours...... and some person keeps asking her why she wants to go home ‍

Been here a few times and it has been fun, food is usually okay. This last trip however I tried the buffalo chicken dip (might be new?) and it was the most bizarre experience. Really big, unseasoned cubes of chicken, runny sauce, soft pitas that you couldn't even dip with. Something crunchy might have at least given it texture. The whole experience just...was bizarre. Leaving this review in the hopes they level up their approach because I love Buffalo chicken dip and it would be a great add to the menu if executed well.

Been twice now the food and service is great. Brisket/beef rips/loaded fries/Mac and cheese/broccoli side, I recommend them all. Most recently girlfriend and I went after work on a Thursday and our bartender was

This place was so great. We went for the brunch. We had Francis as our server. He was awesome. Actually the hospitality was S-Tier (think one-punch man anime). The food was fantastic. The burnt ends (starter) just melt in ur mouth. Chris, one of the owners came by and just added to the level of the hospitality. We were well cared for. We had a round of the boots and bones peanut butter whiskey shots. Wow...that was really nice. Over all we had a great time, the food was reasonably priced and delicious, and the drinks were all worth it. We will definitely be back. Oh and they have Deviled Eggs on the menu (well it's important to me anyway ?). I'll be trying those Monday. ☺️

The BEST BBQ I have had in NYC area! I love the decor too! Makes me feel like I’m in Nashville (many TV screens playing sports programs, nice bar area). Staff there are so friendly and they were so nice to my kids too! My favorites are the briskets, ribs, sausages, and nachos. Location is amazing. Right off the Path Train, steps from Grove St exit. Definitely be going back often!Kid-friendliness: Staff made us feel very comfortable showing up with kids (there were 4 kids total in our group and they were very accommodating and friendly). There are booths so we felt that we were able to contain our kids in one area. Food is very kid friendly, nachos, boneless meats, burgers and fries, and many more. They accommodated us by letting our kids share different dishes. They even cut the burgers in halves and plated them separately to share before even bringing them to the table! They made things so easy!
