Me and my friends came here walking around. It's a very lovely shop situated in a good part of the city nearby the PATH station. The owner was very nice and welcoming and even let us stay a little past closing so my friends could finish their chess game (which was provided by the shop, as well as some free reading and other games.) Have not tried anything to eat, only tried a cold brew. My friend had a fireball latte with housemade chili syrup which was also pretty delicious. I can tell the coffee is well made and of high quality. The cold brew was good and I like that it was on tap. I can tell the owner is a pretty good barista. Will come here again. Really great atmosphere!

So the atmosphere is cute I was excited. Received my cappuccinos and almond croissant. Then waited for the food. The cappuccino tasted burnt which I didn’t finish and the croissant was hard to chew. The quesadilla was ok. But still didn’t have seasoning. Then proceeded to eat the avocado smash. Worst avocado toast. No flavor at all. Just smashed up avocado with veggies on a piece of bread with egg on top. No seasoning whatsoever. The chips were stale. And this was not cheap too expensive. I was hungry so I ate the fried egg on top. But I would not recommend you waste your money here.

What a waste of money. I was really in the mood for a sandwich but am currently on a strict vegan diet. I asked the cashier if all the sandwiches were pressed because I was craving a hearty panini- like sandwich. He said yes. I asked him if the black bean burger had mushrooms in it since I am allergic and his response was pretty unsure saying “I thinkkk soo?? But just so you know all the ingredients are listed under the item on the menu”. Black bean burger- Avocado tomato mixed greens on ciabatta. Nowhere does it say the Ingredients inside the black bean patty and he did not care to confirm with his manager lol. Anyways, $15.50 later, I ended up getting the Avocado Mash Sandwich. After paying I asked the cashier, just to make sure it didn’t have any Mayo or cheese (doesn’t hurt to make absolutely sure) and with attitude, he again says “for future reference, all the ingredients are listed under the item on the menu” lol.. anyway I got back to work and was extremely disappointed when I opened my box. The menu says sandwich. Which he previously confirmed all sandwiches are pressed. But when I received it, it was basically avocado toast. The avocado “mash” is extremely watery has such bland flavor and on ONE slice of wheat toast. $15+??? I wish I just went to the grocery store and bought all these ingredients for less are you kidding me? And was the cashiers attitude because I didn’t leave him a 18% ($2)tip for his unhelpful attitude prior? Making that a $17+ something meal for a piece of toast and with a scoop of watery avocado diced tomatoes onions peppers and WOW POPPY SEEDS WOAH GOSH. By the way, nowhere on the menu under “Avocado Smash” does it say “open sandwich” or red peppers, buddy. The whole thing ended up falling off the toast and I just ate it with a fork while biting into the toast. Now I will just await the sounds from my stomach. No lime no salt just plain bland watery mush for $15.50, food with chicken here is cheaper. What a joke this place is with their prices for the quality and quantity let alone service. Like every other failed business at this location, I give it another year before the hipsters get bored of their hyping and seeing that closed forever sign. Go down the street for some better tastier wonderfully portioned meals. And btw, as a huge coffee connoisseur that drinks espresso everyday, the espresso here is terrible. Cheap beans. Only novice coffee drinkers would enjoy their coffee. I’d give avocado toast and coffee from Dunkin a better rating than this lol.

I came once by myself and the guy at the register was ignoring me when I tried to order and was also kinda rude when i finally ordered. He had a bad attitude when I was really polite and I’m used to coming there.. However the older guy who works there (not sure if he’s the owner or manager) is very nice and welcoming. The place itself is super cute with a nice decor and good drinks, so it’s a shame that this employee is ruining the whole atmosphere. He honestly gave me a bitter after taste of the place. I just read the reviews before leaving mine and apparently there are a lot of complaints about him so maybe management needs to do something about it?

I would like to know the blend that you use for your Expresso coffee... Very nice and quiet in the back...It took you almost 2 years to respond 👎 probably the main reason why business has been poor recently 😞
My first experience at this spot was disappointing. My friends had recommended it, saying they had great coffee, so I decided to stop by this morning for a dirty matcha. Unfortunately, it didn’t taste good. I politely asked the cashier if she could remake it. Before I could finish saying, “Excuse me, I didn’t…” she interrupted me by rolling her eyes and asking, “What do you want?” No sorry or nothing. She barely seemed to make any effort to understand what the issue was or even care which is bad service to me. I can understand if I had come at her with an attitude, but her response completely turned me off from the place.
Won’t be going back.
