Directly across from Hudson County Superior Court. Of the selections across front the court house - quickest caffeine punch with all the various coffees - for a quick lunch sit down or wait for a variety of sandwiches and food for those on the run but doesn't need it want fast food. Pretty place with all the decorations so if you want that break you have it. On trial for a week and by day 2 they knew my name and thanked me for busing my own table. If you want true smiles from great food - try a cherry danish - this is not a cheap one with filling but great cherries - or my colleagues recommend the lemon cake. Honestly made a stressful week better - a hidden gem.

Went during jury duty because it’s the only place around. $23 for a soggy grilled cheese and a thick tomato soup with oregano and rice. It was awful. The soup tasted like canned tomato sauce. Immediately went in the trash.

This establishment has an incredible atmosphere. It provides the calm, laid-back vibe you desire. It was really ornamental and had music playing. The host gave me a warm, inviting greeting. When I received what I had bought, it was wonderful and beautifully displayed. I give this place ten out of ten. I will most certainly return.
I usually come to jersey city for two things from nyc. It’s either work or food - this time it was for both.
From the start the staff was friendly and informative and was extremely kind. The food was amazing. I got the breakfast quesadilla and my homeboy got the omelette. We sat down in the car to eat our meals and instantly looked at each other from that first bite (no Diddy).
It was perfectly seasoned, not too much or too little and it was presented well.

I was passing by for Juror duty out front but I arrived too early and this place was a nice stop along the way. I actually really liked this place. I had an espresso (2 shots) and a marble cake. The barista was very nice and a fun person. I'd love to come back here if I lived nearby lol.

My son and I visited Cafe Peanut on a Sunday morning for breakfast and were immediately enthralled by the friendly staff (the owner) and the welcoming, warm decor and atmosphere of this cozy cafe. We were offered to sample some delicious pound cake and had a hard time deciding between all of the delicious breakfast options. My son ordered the Sunny Side Up Avocado Mash and was very satisfied with his choice. I ordered The Original bagel, and it was delicious as well. Can't wait to stop by again next time we're in town!
