My experience at Camp Hamilton was one of the most humiliating moments that still haunts me to this day. My mother was visiting from Pennsylvania, and to celebrate her visit, she, my partner, and I decided to enjoy a meal at Camp Hamilton. We arrived, sat down, and waited for about ten minutes. My mother sensed something was off, but I reassured her that everything was fine.
However, moments later, the staff approached us and informed us that they were done seating for the day, asking us to leave. At first, I didn’t think much of it, although I noticed many people still sitting, enjoying their beverages and food. As we exited, my mother observed another group entering. They spoke with the same staff, ordered drinks, and sat where we had just been told to leave.
I tried to discuss this with Brian, the manager at Hamilton Inn, but he was extremely dismissive, justifying the treatment by saying his staff was "tired." Frustrated and hurt, I went outside to record a video, which I later posted on Nextdoor. Only then did Brian start to take us seriously. He offered to seat us, but by then, we had already decided to leave. We told him we were heading to Ed & Mary's instead.
Against our request, Brian followed us to Ed & Mary's, trying to explain that it was simply a misunderstanding. I repeatedly asked him to give us space and let us enjoy the rest of our Sunday, but he continued to hover, insisting the situation wasn’t "what we thought," which only reinforced our suspicions.
Later, I spoke to the owners, who told me that "I had work to do" in figuring out how they should proceed with sensitivity training. The meeting felt similar to our encounter with Brian, with the owners expressing how much sleep they had lost and how our experience impacted them, while insisting it wasn’t racially motivated.
I haven’t been back since. Attached is an image of myself and my mother before the incident, a reminder of a visit that should have been joyous but ended in profound disappointment and hurt.

Given a video I just viewed on the Nextdoor app, there is no way I would ever set foot in this establishment. The video taken by Glenn Smith shows documents a very discriminatory action by an employee.
Was sitting quietly at an empty table with my own food, I didn’t know what Camp Hamilton was and thought it was a food truck with a seating area. If I had known it was restaurant seating I wouldn’t have sat there. If that’s not allowed, you can just nicely let me know. There’s no need to loudly and rudely talk about me behind the counter and be passive aggressive about it. Maybe don’t make fun of people loudly enough they can hear from the truck? Just a tip for the future

Sweet and cute spot, with good service, but the food was simply bad. We got the oysters special and these were tasteless. Then we ordered the cauliflower and chicken wings, which both were dumped in the same insanely sour batter.

Absolutely lovely place, super nice crew and good food! It’s a great place in all the senses!

Mosquitos. Horrible food. Oh so horrible.
Such a fun and unique spot near Hamilton park! Great outdoor seating (some covered tent options) next to their airstream turned bar. Come for a full meal or I would suggest it's a great place to start with apps and cocktails. Definitely order the tuna tartare and you can't go wrong with any of their margaritas!!
If you’re looking for chill vibes, great food/drinks, and a dog friendly summer spot. They have great mango margaritas and appetizers (tried the Asian wings, steak nachos, and pork buns). The staff is great and even accommodated my pups with cold fresh water bowels.

Cozy place to sit down with friends and get some quality food. Loved the french toast.
Food was excellent. Loved the relaxed vibe of this place. We were drawn in my the camper van and will be back.
A 60min wait to get a seat, then 90 min wait to get food on very uncomfortable picnic banks without back rests. Camp Hamilton has got a great atmosphere going and the staff is very friendly, but maybe they're short staffed. Would not come back.
We have enjoyed many nights at Camp Hamilton. The staff is super friendly, food is served fresh and delicious. They keep expanding and updating the area to make it more comfortable as the weather has turned colder. We’re very lucky to have this little gem in our neighborhood.
Our local haunt, along with the brilliant White Star and Ed & Mary's.The difference here is by taking the elegance of The Hamilton Inn × the peerless Hamilton Pork and you have Camp Hamilton. Perfect beers and cocktails served from the Airstream to cabanas, benches or seats around the camp fire. Amazing cross section of bespoke food made by the power of 2 united kitchens. Ace service too. Come after the swings, tennis or bball in the always busy, always welcoming, Hamilton Park. You won't be disappointed.
