Canard Café is on the first/ lobby floor of Urby, a luxury apartment building on Jersey City waterfront, a stone's throw from the Exchange Place PATH train station. Unlike many tiny cafés in Jersey City and Hoboken, Canard Café is extremely spacious and well-lit. Its contemporaty design with clean and beautiful lines make this place esthetically pleasing. This café is a very popular co-working spot.

I love this cafe’s atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and efficient! It’s a great place to get some work done. The almond croissants especially are delicious and I’m hoping that the crème brûlée will make a comeback sometime soon!That being said, have noticed that since the menu has changed, the process for making lattes has deteriorated.Instead of pulling the espresso shot fresh for every order, there seems to be a large glass of pre made espresso that’s used. Additionally, only a small amount is added to a large latte so you don’t really taste the espresso. If the coffee could be made to order and with sufficient espresso shots that would be amazing!

If you are a hybrid employee or a college student, this is the BEST study hubs in Jersey City with multiple areas to study or work. It definitely gets busy during 12-4pm but it’s actually quite nice that there is hardly any chatter unless someone is taking a meeting or a phone call.Additionally, there are spotless bathrooms with a full body mirror!! (for my girlies!) ☺️ I also highly recommend a warmed up lemon bread! Super delicioussss
