I recently visited this place and it was an outstanding experience. The food was amazing and perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The ambiance was elegant and relaxing, ideal for a nice evening out. The service was also nice, with the staff being attentive and friendly. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. I highly recommend!!!

We arrived to stay at the Canopy NJ on 12/20./24 My husband checked us in and after I arriving to the room and went to use the restroom which WREAKED of mold and mildew. I could see that the shower had black mold all in the grout and caulking. I called down to the front desk and they sent up housekeeping to clean the shower, which did nothing. I called back down and they offered to move our room. They switched our room and that bathroom also had mold and mildew all in the showed caulking and grout. I was then given and shown another room, which had the same issue. I was shown at least 4 or 5 more rooms, all which had mold all in the showers caulking and grout. After an employee checked rooms for an hour, we were finally given a new room that had the least amount of mold in the shower, but still mold, none the less. We were told that we would get free breakfast for our 2 nights there and that we would be contacted by management. We were never contacted by anyone. We were charged for breakfast for one of the mornings. On top of it, the room had dust all over the top of the headboards and all on the baseboards along the floor. There was also hair in the cups that were supposed to be provided for coffee for the coffee machines in the room. This is absolutely and truly disgusting and appalling. The craziest part is that this stay cost us over $600. We’ve stayed at motels that were cheaper and cleaner. I have pictures and video evidence of the black mold, dust, and hair in the cup
Canopy is fantastic! I was hosting a party for 20 people, and 2 days before the event I found out our venue wasn’t going to work. Martin worked with me to pull together a beautiful party on very short notice, taking a huge stress off my mind. Eddy, KC, and the whole team took great care of our group on the night of the event. Our guest of honor (and everyone else) loved everything- the delicious desserts, the beautiful setting, the drinks. I am so grateful and would absolutely recommend Canopy for events or just a night out.

The Canopy Bar and Grill: A Delightful Oasis in the City
The Canopy Bar and Grill is a hidden gem that offers a refreshing escape from the urban hustle. With its lush greenery and open-air seating, the ambiance is both relaxing and inviting, perfect for a casual outing or a special occasion. The menu features a diverse range of delicious dishes, from juicy burgers to fresh salads, all prepared with high-quality ingredients. Their margarita selection is equally impressive, with the "Tropical Breeze" being a standout favorite and in my opinion the best.
Service at The Canopy is friendly and attentive, especially that bartender Ricardo, who made me the best drink ever last week. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and the overall quality of the experience. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or spending an evening with friends, The Canopy Bar and Grill is a fantastic choice for a delightful dining experience.

The food and ambiance was amazing! Shefali, the Assistant manager made me feel comfortable and welcomed as soon as I came through the doors. I definitely recommend stopping here if you’re in the area for some great drinks and food.

Nice place for good American food . Table for party of 12 people.
The hotel restaurant featured a decent menu and interesting cocktails and everything we ordered looked and tasted very good. However, there always seemed to be something off every time we went. The first night, we went for dinner and the food took a little bit longer than we expected (~45 minutes) based on us being the only people at the restaurant. The next morning, we went for breakfast and the flatbread that my wife ordered came without two of the ingredients (chili oil and one other one that I can’t remember) which made it kind of plain. When we asked for chili oil, the waitress seemed confused and offered us Tabasco. That day they added a tip to the bill even though they didn’t do that for either of the other times we went. The last time we went, we ordered cocktails, which were very good and well-made, but the bartender serving us took the time to take care of random other tasks (bringing in the cushions from outside, wiping down the countertop, etc.) before making our cocktails. Later, she offered to bring us water, but never did. It was a weird experience, especially since she was very nice to us the entire time. On our last day, we tried to get breakfast at the restaurant but they weren’t serving a-la-carte breakfast because Labor Day was the day before and it sounded like they ran out of ingredients. This restaurant has all the prerequisites to be exceptional but instead kind of falls flat due to lack of consistency and organization.

If you want to waste an hour of your evening waiting on food, then this is the place for you. Over an hour wait for a burger and flatbread pizza, no drink refills offered. Recommend walking down the street for better options unless you’re craving mediocre food and no

This was just a one night stopping point for us on a longer road trip, and it was a great little reprieve from driving! The hotel is beautiful, comfy, and quiet. And there are so many delicious restaurants within walking distance! We’ll definitely be back.

The Canopy staff members were all exceptionally friendly, courteous, and very professional. I appreciated that they took the extra time to make sure we had the information and understood what we needed to know to make our stay the very best. Thank you very much for making our stay at Canopy outstanding. We really enjoyed staying in the historic Arts District, too.
Wonderful stay, located at the heart of Jersey City Downtown. Friendly staff offer a welcome like home. Easy access to the PATH train and a lovely selection of foods nearby. Was able to grab some bites at the hotel, and it was delightful!
