We had an amazing dinner at Capoeira! The food was delicious, and our server Pedro was really kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place 😊

Was there for brunch. It was ok, had the pancake which was quite soggy, and empanadas which was crispy by very airy inside, could have done with double the filling.
Given the price, not sure I'd try their brunch again, but would probably give dinner a shot perhaps.

We went there for brunch after the Jersey City 5k and had the best experience. The food was amazing, highly recommend the cheese bread waffles (savory) and their brigadeiro coffee. The staff are extremely friendly and we had the best time! HIGHLY RECCOMEND

One of the best places in this area. The vibe here is very bohemian and Brazil/Portuguese. Food always tastes fresh and the people who work here are laid back and attentive. Different tables are very close to one another (good for 1 person or a group of 8)

We loved the vegan feijoada (a black bean based dish) and the vegan stroganoff. We got them both for takeout. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-22
Excellent food, warm, inviting decor, friendly staff.
Disgusting. Behind the facade there is something deeply wrong here. At first I thought it was an undercooked vegeatable or rice until I broke a tooth and then started pulling little shards of bone from from my mouth. I'm repulsed that I swallowed some of them. I get nauseous thinking about this place.
Food wasn't edible. Restaurant wouldn't take or return numerous calls
Found out later we were overcharged
Beware

The octopus and bean stew was excellent, friendly service and interesting drinks! Table was a tad small but overall, it’s a winner.

Great place with tasty food and friendly service. I wanted to try picanha and it didn't disappoint. Don't forget to get pastel de nata for dessert.

It was our 1st time here & WE WILL BE BACK. OMG the food is SO good. We had the Yuca fries with the Aioli sauce. WICKED. I am glad I had a plate to myself, wasn't about to share it. Sorry there are no photos, we were too busy eating!
For dinner we both had the Salmāo Grelhado ao Molho de Marcuja,
a grilled salmon dish which was AWESOME. We had sides of sauteed collard greens, SUPERLATIVE.
Oh, the helpings are quite generous.
The service was great as well.
Bottom line, as I said, we WILL be back.
