Cavany Foods: Wholesome, fast-paced healthy dining in Jersey City.

Ordered soup, pasta and croissants.
The soup as pictured was half corn. Not that I particularly hate corn, but when I order soup I expect mostly soup and then some add ons, and if over half the portion is one ingredient, I expect it called out.
Pasta was just ok, sauce was broken.
Croissants for $13, I am expecting a proper dessert. Run of a mill croissant cut in half smeared in chocolate. I didn't hate it, but $13 for it is robbery.
I wouldn't go here.

i tried to order online but the website showed mistake and didn’t submit the order, meanwhile the payment was processed. I called the restaurant and the lady didn’t know what to do, told me “check you name on the website” and hanged up the phone:( not nice, will contact my bank now and never order from here again

Cavany catered a party. ABSOLUTELY outstanding job. Fabulous foods, handmade with care and passion. Everyone was highly impressed with the menu and the deliciousness and freshness as well as the very skilled and hospitable staff. Food was handmade from scratch, very impressive. RECOMMEND!

Such a hidden gem! The food is incredible and unique, a great dine in spot. Service is excellent and everyone was very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect place to drop $5 for a juice box

The food was delicious, I ate a spectacular salad and the ropavievieja (seared beef) was delicious, the rice was perfectly cooked and the detail of the water in a glass with a slice of yellow lemon was spectacular.
I loved everything and the best was the service and attention with a luxury chef.
It was worth it and now I know it will be worth coming back. My children and husband were delighted!

The food here is absolutely stellar. The tequeños (Venezuelan dish where venezuelan cheese is wrapped in dough and fried, these are not cheese sticks DO NOT call them cheesesticks to a Venezuelan) were flaky and delicious with an incredible sauce to dip them in. As for the drinks, my favorite was the papelón (Venezuelan lemon and sugar cane drink) is the perfect way to quench your thirst in the blistering summer we've been having! Delicious food and drinks paired with excellent service made my visit to Cavany Foods the highlight of my day. Can't recommend it enough!

What a delight to be at Cavany's. My mom and I had a greet girls day out by shopping at JC and then having the most fresh, savory, delicious lunch at Cavany. Chef Alejandro was super cool and the food was wonderful. We had tomato soup, hummus, shrimp plantain, mango duck salad and key lime pie with tea. I want to go back soon :)
