Loved the Vadapav. Getting to eat authentic desi vadapav after so long in the US was refreshing!

Dabeli and wada Pav was just delicious. Best place to have a quick snack near Indian street

One of the worst chaat place I have ordered from. For a freaking $6 they just give one vada pav and that too it's not at all authentic.. It's not a vada, they just stuff potatoes and chutney in between the pav. Not at all worth it.

Horrible customer service!!! I ordered $50 worth of food for people I was entertaining at home. They forgot one of the items and they sent chat without any chutney!!! It was basically namkeen. I had ordered two shahi chaats and they were horrible. Basically just dry namkeen! When I called and asked them to send the missing items and dahi and chutney for the sev puri and the shaahi chaat, the restaurant told me they typically don't do that!! I said the sev puri is completely dry to which the guy replied, "We don't put too much chutney so the chaat is not soggy and we don't typically send chutneys." Guess what? The chaat was soggy!!!! Despite them not putting chutneys and who sells chaat and does not send chutney. Moreover the picture for Shahi Chat on their menu showed oodles of chutney (see pic). But the restaurant said their Shahi Chat does not come with chutney!! These people have no idea about what they are doing! Basically I had two chaats completely useless that really weren't chaats by any stretch of the imagination and a missing sandwich but the restaurant did nothing about it and said Grub Hub would call to fix the issues. So $22 worth of food was useless and they forgot an item but still refused to have the driver bring everything back even though I paid $4 in delivery charge and $3 tip. Horrible customer service and terrible food by all means.

Everything I've had here is really delicious and the service is wonderful! It's my quick stop after the PATH for dinner when needed. I started with the Aloo Papri Chaat, which is really refreshing- and then he gave me a free dabeli (a delicious sandwich) to try and now I love that too. Then, another day tried the “live” pani puri, so fresh and delicious. Smoothies too!

There were a couple of chats we tried and both tasted great. Wait times may be long. So probably ordering pick up is a good idea.

The little India neighborhood in Jersey City sorely lacks good Indian fast food, especially chaat options. Don't get me wrong- there are a lot of places that sell chaat, pani-puri, pav-bhaji and the usual fare. But the quality is terrible. They put zero thought into the food and don't use quality ingredients. I can confidently say that if any of them set shop in India and sell the same quality of food, NOBODY will eat them. This small place fills that void.. well, kind of. While they don't have the best dishes ever, they're by far the best in the area, and more importantly, Nandu bhai the owner, and his wife are super courteous and passionate about their food. They caught the eyes of the gf and me with the 'live pani puri' billboards outside, and one fine tuesday evening we decided to give them a try. We had a plate each of pani puri and dahi puri, and both were delicious: they'll definitely sell in India. The potato filling in the pani puri was fresh, and the water was tangy and flavorful. The yogurt used in the dahi puri was not watered down like other surrounding places, and the toppings were fresh. Since there was no one else, we ended up chatting with the owner, and upon knowing that my gf is from Maharashtra, he gave us a sample of his Kutchi Dabeli ( = the big daddy of vada pav). My gf is ruthless about her evaluation of traditional dishes, but the dabeli got a thumbs up from her too! We have been back there multiple times, and have tried a number of their dishes. The dahi puri is my absolute favorite, and I get it every time. While the other dishes are not the best we've ever had, they're much closer to those made in street food stalls in India than anywhere else in the area. During our conversations with Nandu bhai, we learnt that he's quite the veteran in the food industry, having his own businesses in India and Australia before coming to the US recently and opening Chat and Juice Express 4 months ago. We really liked that he has his own spice mixes for different dishes, and is genuinely interested in feedback and making his food better. All the best to this small hole-in-the-wall business! I hope people get to know and love your food!!
