Visited Chickie’s on a Friday night around 8:30 PM with a party of two. We didn’t have a reservation and were told the wait for a table was about an hour, despite the restaurant not appearing full. We opted to sit at the bar instead.

We ordered three appetizers—baked clams, mozzarella sticks, and calamari—and I had an espresso martini. The food was good, and the drink was well-made, but the overall experience didn’t quite match the quality of the menu. The vibe from other patrons at the restaurant was off, and the atmosphere wasn’t as enjoyable as we’d hoped. Rude and very loud table was seated behind us at the bar.

In general, service was okay but nothing memorable. While Chickie’s has potential, the bar seating experience left something to be desired. I’d consider giving it another try but would definitely plan ahead for a table next time. The menu had a few items I would have liked to order but I’ll save those for next time.

My boyfriend and I were so excited to dine in here over the weekend. We ordered our drinks and appetizer and while waiting, a full grown cockroach crawled across the booth next to him. We discreetly alerted the hostess and our waiter without causing a scene. The young waiter used his napkin and tried to catch the running cockroach and failed to grab it, and it was lost in the seat. We then were moved one table over and our appetizer was served like nothing happened or that it happens often. We were too grossed out to finish our meals and left. No compensation on our bill, which was on the expensive side, or any mention of the roach again. Very unprofessional and inappropriate. Wishing we had a good experience because the food looked great!

Not enough seasoning on the chicken and pork chops . Way too much cheese on the breadsticks.
The taste of lemon was overwhelming on the pasta, which was salty.

Food was okay. Service needs to be at bit more attentive. It is a really nice setting to sit outside for appetizers and drinks.

Have eaten here twice and both experiences were disappointing. Pizza was not good and had a horrible sour smell and taste (I think it was the cheese) the dough was also chewy and seemed undercooked. The chicken Caesar sandwich was dry. The prices don’t justify the quality of food you’re receiving and would not recommend. Our waiter was friendly and helpful.

Great atmosphere! Cute little spot! The stracciatella appetizer was SOOO good! We also tried the spicy vodka fried burrata 10/10. The Caesar salad was a little fishy but that means it’s fresh! We also tried the chicken Parmesan with spicy vodka rigatoni 10/10! The cacio e pepe was okay in my opinion but my boyfriend loved it! Tiramisu was good too. Our server was really nice, I didn’t get her name unfortunately. All of the staff were very sweet. It might not be a super authentic Italian spot, but there’s tons of other places for that ;)

We come here all the time and are obsessed! The gluten free pizza and pasta is amazing - the spicy vodka rigatoni with stracciatella is phenomenal. We recently tried the square pizzas, so fluffy and massive, everything we’ve had here is a 10/10 plus the outdoor seating is such a cute vibe

Dietary restrictions: Has gluten free pizza and pasta

Pros: The vibe is great especially outside where it feels vaguely like European dining. Service was quick and very efficient

Cons: Everything that went into my mouth. The drinks were NYC priced and under sized. The food was a mixed bag: some edible, some inedible. The pork tasted as if it had been marinated in chlorine. The pasta was a sad imitation of a homemade meal created from Barilla covered in ragu sauce. The only highlights were the apps; meatballs, pizza squares, and mozz sticks were acceptable.

The food is so bad. My god. Like Italian fast food. Do they literally just reheat ingredients? Nothing is fresh and it’s so obvious. And for the price? I walked away paying $150 for a basic meal.

I get why things are expensive, but at least make it worth it for people dining out, and use quality ingredients and get someone who knows how to cook. Why don’t these JC restaurants care anymore?

Servers/service are good. No issues there. It’s whoever is running the place clearly doesn’t care.
