Last night I came to Chickie’s. There was street parking, we found quite fast. Overall it was a great experience. Drinks we got were House Rose and espresso martini( my date said it was quite sweet). Food was fresh and came out quick despite it being a full house. The mozzarella sticks were amazing and must. The spicy rigatoni does live up to the hype as well, and I highly recommend. To finish, we had a tiramisu which was also fresh. The highlights of this place were the atmosphere, the quick service and how fresh the food was along with the quality of ingredients. Next time I’ll come for a pizza as their menu looked great.

Lay Back & Chill! This hot spot in cool Jersey City is definitely the place to hit for smashing cocktails, cheery service and really, REALLY GOOD FOOD! Family / kid friendly, pet friendly and outdoor seating facing the park make this a destination not to be missed when in the neighborhood. The interiors are beautifully appointed with an airy bistro feel, dotted with marble top tables over elegantly restored hex marble tiled floors under high ceilings. Fantastic park views from the bar. With such an array to choose from, drop this in your top three of Jersey City!

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to come here, but I will absolutely come back! The restaurant is charming and beautifully done. Our service was incredible - waitress was super friendly and the food came out quickly. We ordered the Paulie Walnuts salad, a gluten free pizza, and a regular pizza. Everything was amazing! I’ve tried many gluten free pizzas in the area and I’m a forever customer simply because of how good their gf pizza was! I actually didn’t believe it was gluten free and asked twice. It’s pricey, but we had a really great experience and can’t wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten free were accommodated

We ate at Chickies and got a bunch of different meals, all of which sit extremely well for takeout. Upon walking in, we saw a mountain of takeout orders proving that this place is in demand. Although the rating is 3.9, the experience blows that number out of the water. A quaint, beautiful little setting. The drinks were great, but the food was incredible. We got the rice balls, which had the famous gravy, as well as the garlic bread with mozzarella. It was amazing. The salad was incredibly unique. Polly Walnuts was the name of it. And then I got the chicken parm sandwich for dinner, which the second half will make for a perfect lunch for tomorrow. This place exceeded expectations and continues to impress.

I just wanted to echo the reviews from NYE 2024–I think it may have been an off evening but there was literally no salt or flavor in any of the dishes. The spicy rigatoni wasn’t spicy or salted—it was completely bland. The bill was also pretty steep for the type of food provided. I’m also hoping this was a New Year’s Eve kitchen error.

This was our second time there, and maybe it was due to the New Year’s Eve holiday, but it seemed somewhat haphazard in there and didn’t give us the same romantic vibe we thought we felt the first time a few years ago. The drinks were good and the apps were fine, but something just seemed off with the food. Who knows, maybe it was what we ordered (which was the bone-in chicken parm w/ “spicy” rigatoni and the lobster pasta w/ “white wine” sauce). But the menu was unclear in some areas and didn’t seem to align with what we received. The pasta also had a very bland taste and plain taste, which didn’t help the dishes. Hopefully it was just a one time thing for them and we just happened to pick an off night, but I don’t think we’ll be going out of our way to get back there anytime soon.

Unfortunately, after giving this restaurant a second try, I will likely never return. For the price point, this place very much lacks flavor, salt, and Italian flare. The chicken parm is smothered in cheese, making it quite hard to taste the chicken. The “spicy rigatoni” was very overcooked and not spicy whatsoever. Desperately needed salt and pepper. The lobster pasta was… confusing. The menu says it has white wine and tomato. Expecting it to come out in white wine sauce, it shockingly came out covered in vodka sauce, which sadly, again, lacked any flavor! The longhots were very good! Each one was super spicy.Overall, even though the food was very disappointing and bland, the ambiance is cool and fun — excellent music and service was attentive and quick.Unfortunately won’t be returning for food… perhaps I would go sit at the bar for drinks as the place is super hip.

One of the best restaurants in jersey city! Such a gem! Try their chicken parm with vodka sauce, calamari and hot pepperoni!! Sooooo good! I love to visit once in a while.I barely comment on the restaurant! This one is really nice!

Amazing Italian food in a gorgeous location in Jersey City! Chickie's is one of my favorite restaurants in JC. Their pasta is delicious, especially the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni. The service is so friendly. In the summer, they set up outdoor seating across from Hamilton Park, which makes for a gorgeous place to dine.

We visited Chickie's for a Birthday Brunch celebration and it was awesome. We were a party of six, and they were very attentive, friendly and accommodating, it made our time there very enjoyable. We ordered a lot of fun, that arrived fast and hot. I especially enjoyed the cannoli French toast ? Go and enjoy!
