I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Cocoa Bakery. I have been a loyal, local customer, however, when I placed a cupcake order for a really special event (order placed far in advance with clear instructions, credit card on file, etc.), the store completely forgot about my order when I went to pick it up. My order was sent to a different location and the store told me that I should drive an hour to pick up the order and at best only offered me a 20% discount when I complained. They couldn’t even give me new, random cupcakes for free. They did nothing to remedy my situation other than a 20% discount on new cupcakes and trying putting the burden on me to drive an hour to get my cupcakes. They even told me to order them on Grubhub myself. I’m extremely disappointed with the service.

Ever since I bought my first chocolate cake here, it has been our go to place. For my soon to be sister-in-law's bachelorette party, I ordered a simple customized cake. It turned out so cute and it was such a big hit at the party. Customer service for getting the cake details we amazing. They respone with in 1 hour of inquiry. Forever love this place and their chocolate cake.

Ordered delivery from here today. Love the other location. Do not love this one. Ordered a latte with oat milk (up charge $1). My boyfriend got an iced americano. Also ordered an apple scone, cheesecake slice, and a chocolate sea salt cookie. The iced americano looks like iced tea. It's extremely watered down. Ice melted by time of delivery.. if it was in there. It costs $4.20. Will not order again and do not recommend. My latte with oat milk was also not good. Very watered down espresso. They charge an extra $1 for oat milk and this cup is tiny. Prob 12oz. $5.40 for a tiny latte. Add that expensive oat milk and $6.40 for a little coffee is nuts. Will not order again. The apple scone was the perfect size and texture. Only thing missing was the apple and cinnamon flavor. Such a shame. It was $3.90. If the flavor was there, I would order this again. The chocolate sea salt cookie is not a cookie. It's a little wafer! It was $1.20. To me, this thing should be a free sample for its size. Like where is the cookie? This is not it. Will not order again and do not recommend. Flavor was meh. The cheesecake was okay. We've had better. It's heavy and made with mascarpone. Crust was nice. Is this worth $7.80? No. Wouldn't order again.

Went there to check out birthday cakes. The limited selection of just three flavors was the first hurdle, and my choice to sample the chocolate cake ended up being less than satisfying. The cakes were actually expensive for the size offered. Not a great experience

Needed dessert for a family gathering and knew I could count on Coco for quality delicious desserts. We got the marscapone cheese pie, which was the best ever cheese pie I ever had! The cookies were scrumptious and the rice pudding continues to be among the best I have ever had. This place is the best!

Hands down the best hot drinks on a cold day at nearby Liberty State Park. We had delicious hot chocolate, chai latte, and chai hot cocoa . Rich, creamy and not too sweet.

Went in on a Saturday recently and asked the tall girl with colored hair what she would recommend. She picked out a strawberry cupcake for me based on my outfit and it was perfect. She was so nice and sweet, I'm definitely going to be coming back. The shop itself is very cute and highly recommended for anyone that digs chill vibes.

Rude individual on Saturdays. Great cupcakes but gosh, can we replace her? It's gotten to the point we walk by and see her working and literally keep walking. Unfortunate. If she doesn't like her job pls do something else that isn't to customer facing. Let's not spread negativity. It's fine if it's just one day but it's consistent. Tall goth-ish lady.Was considering getting our wedding cake from here but not anymore.

Seems like this was their first day in business. So disorganized, was asked if I wanted a croissant warmed but then it was just cold when I got it. Latte, was just milk with a splash of coffee. I would not come back to this place given the disorganization. It’s mind boggling to get such a different experience in store given the positive reviews.

Sweets for days! We found this place on Yelp looking for something sweet after coming from the Cherry Lounge in Jersey City! Whoever is baking for this place definitely loves to bake and it shows. The key lime pie.. was decadent and a perfect balance of sweet and sour. The crust was perfectly made and you could be eat it alone or with another treat! The chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel icing was so good! It smelled like coffee inside and its definitely a place to try if your in the area
