Liberty Science Center has brought an insurmountable amount of joy to my son over the years. It is always filled with wonder and excitement. My son is seven years old and we have been coming since he was three years old.

We liked it. There was cool science experiment shows that kids will love. A great activity during the day. The kids especially liked the cool planet stuff.

So this is the first time ever that I've come to the liberty science center and I don't know how it has taken me 36 years to do so. Learning is so much fun when it's interactive and if you don't believe me ask any child there. I went on a weekday for like 45 dollars and along with exploring the whole place we also got to see a show in the planetarium that talked about living on other worlds. The entire experience was mind blowing and you learn so much. From live animals to electricity to hanging off the side of a building its all there. I think my favorite part was the show in the planetarium though. I think it's the biggest on the east coast. Even though some of the attractions were closed we still had an amazing time. I'll definitely be back . Oh and they do have a food court if you get hungry

Fun time with family. Can get crowded so be strategic with times. Clean facilities. Would get a pass if we lived closer.

I'm from out of state but have family in NJ. This is the second time I've been, once when my oldest was a toddler almost 5 years ago and now while my youngest is a toddler. Both times have been enjoyable and it's nice that both kids had things that they enjoyed. It's clean and the exhibits are kept up well. It's nice that there are new things to enjoy as well as some of the things from previous times.

This place is a big NO NO. Unclean environment, food is horrible and pricey, service is slow and my whole family and baby caught stomach flu from there. Been dealing with symptoms since our visit on Sunday. Never again!

My two year old loves LSC! There are plenty of things to do and see and it's an easy way to spend a few hours indoors, especially now that it's getting colder. Parking is plentiful and it's not hard to get a spot, even on the weekends which is nice. There are several floors of exhibits - they do a good job of rotating new exhibits into the mix which is nice. The planetarium is a must visit. It's an upcharge of $8 (or $6 for members) to see a show. They currently have a sesame street show which my daughter really enjoys. She also loves wobbly world and the trains - both a must see if you are visiting with a toddler! They've really upgraded the cafe area since I was a kid and you can find a bunch of different food kiosks like pizza, tacos and bbq. They also sell local beer which is cool. If you plan to visit more than once during the course of a year it's definitely worth looking into a yearly membership. If you are looking for a fun and educational way to spend the day then you cannot go wrong!

A great place for children and adults that are young at heart. Planetarium shows are outrageous in the largest planetarium in the entire continent of North America! Special area for toddlers who are under 42 inches. Great variety of 3-D movies. Exhibit areas always changing. Membership is a worthy investment. Always check the website for hours. Special adult only nights twice a month.

This review is going to be long. But it's honestly well deserved. There is SO much to talk about when it comes to the Liberty Science Center. I've had this place on my radar for a while mainly because of the planetarium, but I decided to pay a visit with my son for Father's Day.The Liberty Science Center features basically everything science related you can think of. Think of it like a kids friendly version of the museum of natural history mixed with tons of interactive science experiments showing kids the effects of gravity, hydroelectricity, air, fluid dynamics, and more. It's so much to talk about and it was WAY more than I actually expected. They even have live animals there which I wasn't aware of.The museum is comprised of three main floors and is very easy to navigate. They have well marked staircases and elevators that take you where you need to be. There are signs too that show you what each floor has, and they're all bathroom accessible as well, which is important because if you're coming with kids, you definitely need to know how far away the bathroom is. Because there was so much, I'm going to speak of the center as a whole instead of breaking down everything floor by floor. Most of the action that we experienced was on the second and third floor. The first floor featured an optical illusion for kids where they appear to be floating on a building, and that was about it. They had other exhibits as well but they weren't too exciting. The second floor has the planetarium and a bunch of the aforementioned experiments. My son had a blast playing with all the exhibits and seeing how objects react. Be warned that there will be a LOT of kids there running around and enjoying themselves, but in my experience it never felt overly crowded or overwhelming. Spacing wise it felt fine, and I'm sure they were busy as it was father's day. If you want to have an idea of what my son found really interesting, check out the photos attached. The third floor was equally as exciting, continuing on from the second floor. There's a lot of variety of things to keep your kids busy. Like I said before, they have live animals (just like a zoo) and my son enjoyed it, although a few of them weren't real. That didn't bother me at all considering the amount of things they had there. Honestly I didn't even know animals were there so it was a pleasant surprise. Getting through the entire museum took about an hour and change, depending on how invested your child is in particular exhibits. My son and I grabbed lunch from their cafe afterwards. They have a great amount of options, ranging from pizza, burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, and even tacos and falafels. We ended up getting the chicken tenders/chicken sandwich with fries and mozzarella sticks. I will admit that the food didn't look super appetizing which I will say is because it was sitting under the heat lamp. But once we started eating we were floored at how delicious it was. It tasted like it came out fresh from the grill. I can't overstate this enough, and I'm fairly picky with food. It was a bit expensive but that's to be expected at a place like this. Overall we were fully satisfied with the portions and the flavor. Oh, they also have beer, which was an awesome surprise and I definitely had to grab a Guinness. After lunch, we went back to visit the exhibits that my son favored. I don't want this review to get too long, so I'll end it here. This place is absolutely wonderful for kids. We didn't even get to see any of the shows they offer in the planetarium(which you have to pay $8 extra for), but that was because the guy at the ticket booth said the particular show they had coming up wasn't exactly fit for a 6 year old. It was aimed more for older kids, so we just walked around for the rest of the day. Either way, if you're looking for a really fun, interactive science based museum experience, I would highly recommend coming here. The pricing for t

Lots of science topics on four floors ranging from ants, fish, mechanics, puzzles, etc... Hmmm scenter seems themed for family and children. Not so great for adults without family and kids. Perhaps I will come back to this place in the future once I have a family. LMAO

Daughter had a delightful time! Great time with family

A little on the expensive side but to be expected since it's in the science center. Really convenient and the food is pretty good. Would recommend stopping by if you're already here and looking to grab some food.

The Liberty Science Center is an outstanding destination for anyone interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The center has a wide range of exhibits and interactive displays that are both educational and entertaining. One of the highlights of the Liberty Science Center is the massive IMAX theater. The exhibits at the Liberty Science Center cover a wide range of scientific topics, including physics, biology, chemistry, and environmental science. The exhibits are interactive and engaging, encouraging visitors to explore and experiment with different scientific concepts. One of my favorite exhibits at the center is the Touch Tunnel, where visitors have to navigate a pitch-black tunnel using only their sense of touch. It's a thrilling and unique experience that is both fun and challenging. The Liberty Science Center is also an excellent destination for families with young children. The center has a dedicated area for young children to explore and learn through play, which is both fun and educational.Overall, I highly recommend the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ. It's a fantastic destination for anyone interested in STEM, with a wide range of exhibits and activities that are both educational and entertaining.
