What an unexpected gem! I highly recommend the cookie dough and banana pudding. We placed an order for delivery and not only did it show up well packed and in tact, it was absolutely delicious. 100% will be ordering from here again.

It hurts my heart to pay nearly $15 for a small cup. Is it good, absolutely. The cashier is always friendly. Perfect location...tempts you easily right before hopping on the train. Go, enjoy!

Ordered desserts from here last weekend for the first time. Their menu is a bit overwhelming; we opted to try their 'just dough' creations. I got the smores dough and my fiancé got the cookie dough dream and added boba toppings (the list of toppings is endless!). The smores dough was SOOO rich, but good. I could only eat a little at a time, which is fine since the dessert lasted me 3 nights! I guess that is good since they cost $12.50 each. Some of the menu items were confusing since the photos didn't match the descriptions - i.e. the peanut butter brownie party and brownie mix under warm delights. It shows a scoop of edible dough on top but it is not mentioned in the text description. I think if we were to order a dough creation from here again, we would just order 1 and share it. The Cookie Dough Oreo would be the next flavor I try.

The hours online never reflect the real hours. They close at a different time every night like the employees pick and choose to close when they feel like. this is so unprofessional

I left the office and wanted to treat myself to a yogurt and brownie I was very excited ! Come to my surprise I ordered yogurt that looked like it was made in my kitchen. By the time I enter my ubor the yogurt melted into this slimy water down texture .. the yogurt was gross and brownie was just another let down. I paid 12 dollars for a cup of gross processed yogurt. Shouldn’t be shocked that the yogurt was lack luster just like the lazy teens who was working there.. they looked like zombies who was pissed off at the world. Any who ! I don’t recommend!! Maybe it was just not my luck that night.

People from Jersey City should all go and see this place. The hygiene, the quality of the product, the hospitality and the decoration of the place are great. I love ice cream and desserts. I give it 10/10.

this is a cute location with a lot of tasty options! i do think they are a bit overpriced, but perfect to cool down with in the summertime so it pays off.

(Snacked 07/14/23 FR @ 12:30pm): I went downtown for some frozen yogurt! Thanks to a recent Yelp Elite Event, my friend, our lil' black beast, and I returned to Downtown Yogurt for more frozen goodness. I was a fan of frozen yogurt and especially loved the Yogurtland brand, so when we decided to go on a walk, we coincidently found ourselves here. At the time, they only had one other location in Manhattan. Obviously, I liked them enough for an impromptu second visit. Therefore, were the flavors and toppings I chose this time around just as good as my first visit at this downtown yogurt joint!? PURCHASES Froyo One-Size-Fits-All 12oz Cup + Two Types Of Toppings ($10.50 + $1.00 x2): I opted for an interesting treat with a mix of cake butter and vanilla oats frozen yogurt topped with cookie dough and gummy bears. The cake butter was sweetness personified, while the vanilla oats was... vanilla. Although the toppings went well with each respective froyo flavor, they kind of clashed with each other. The portion size I created for myself covered both my breakfast and lunch. Everything stood well on their own, but I wouldn't recommend them together. 3pc DTY-Fro-Yo Dipped Doggie Treats ($5.95): Even our furry family member was able to join in the fun with these "dessert" bone treats! Bottled Water ($2.00 x2): With all of the sweetness, we needed something to cleanse our respective palates. SERVICE I was immediately greeted by the solo young female behind the counter. I proceeded to grab a cup, surveyed the flavors at the pull stations, and once my cup was full, she helped with my toppings. Once my "healthier' sweet creation was weighed (I forgot to check its mass), I was given a parting salutation, and off I went to enjoy this outside - thank you! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) My friend, our lil' black beast, and I took the 20 minute walk from her place, so parking wasn't an issue for us. Otherwise, the business was located in a pedestrian-only section of Downtown Jersey City, so the only feasible parking I saw was either street parking away from the location, you rode a bike, took public transportation, or used some sort of driver service - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A small floorplan with nowhere to sit, the cups on the inside left corner of the entrance, the toppings display and payment counter was directly in front of you, six machines that dispensed a total of 18 flavors (mixed or otherwise) were along the left wall, an upright cooler that helped frozen treats for takeaway along the right wall, and a large swirled froyo display for pictures in the front right corner. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the many large glass windows and doors that circled the shop while various electric hanging and track ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Downtown Yogurt was once again a treat, and I'm glad we came back. However, I must caveat not to get the combination I did on this particular trip. Although they had 12 standalone flavors, I felt there wasn't enough diversity and learned towards safe options that lacked uniqueness. However, I'm sure they rotated the flavors monthly like most similar businesses. The pricing was comparable, the flavors were fine, and the service was efficient and straightforward. And, whenever possible I liked to support small family-owned local businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $24.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... We came here for desert after some Szechuan food. Food: The selection was relatively limited with only 12 or so different flavors to choose from. There were at least three variations of vanilla within the 12 flavor choices. Service: fast and friendly Ambiance: There is some seating inside next to the ice cream cone bench. It might be best to grab your froyo and enjoy it on a walk

Scammy in my opinion. I got a very reasonable, on the small side cup with my bf and we easily spent $30. When you ask for a topping, you get heaping scoopfuls you can’t manage it , so you’re being upcharged because you can’t just get a little bit of a topping, it needs to be an entire ice cream scoop of cookie dough. Won’t ever come here again.

Great spot off grove street area. Get your yogurt and go enjoy the walk around grove street. You get your yogurt and then they top it with the toppings you want. Which you'll have to tell them how much or little you want as opposed to you doing it yourself. Price is pretty standard compared to other yogurt spots. They always have a sugar free flavor and I've got strawberry and cheesecake so it does vary. The other flavors are pretty solid too.

Not too bad, I'd hate to say it as I'd rather support local businesses but flavor wise I think Pink berry is a winner. Their standard flavor tasted more like vanilla to me, yet their French Custard was a nice surprise

Always rotating their frozen yogurt flavors and so so many topping options to choose from! Always a good option for me and my little one.

This was just 5 minutes walk from my sister's place. It has variety of flavours and toppings. My niece is in love with this place. She always eat yogurt from this place. The ambience and the cleanliness is top notch.

What a great place.Customer service is incredible. They’re very good at explaining what has added sugar and what doesn’t.We had the raspberry yogurt, which was incredible. It didn’t overwhelm you with it sweetness. The toppings work great. I loved the fresh fruit and the carob chips.I’ll be back.
