Barely any filling, all the empanadas I ordered which was Al pastor(had no pineapples) Jersey empanadas had nothing inside besides the dang beef lol granted he was alone but this food was horrible, the rice was stale and everything felt rushed. Maybe I caught him on a bad day but I highly doubt I’ll give this place a second shot.

Joke. Ordered 8 items, received 3. Restaurant doesn’t even call to say they won’t be sending everything I ordered. Birria empanada came with no sauce, how can you can that “birria”. Called the restaurant and they couldn’t care less. Wish I could give zero stars.

I don't understand the good reviews. Ok, I get they're tasty empanadas but they're so small! Who pays this much? You can get empanadas twice the size for half the price and just as good.Plus, I paid $6 for BOGO churros - that's plural - and only got 2. That means I paid $3 for each churro. And what's worse is there's no sugar or cinnamon on them like in the description, they're just 2 plain greasy churros. I know inflation is affecting every industry, but that's an insane markup unless someone messed up my order.I ordered on Uber Eats so I suppose they have a different menu there?

EDITED REVIEW:They aren't closed! The phone may have been janky, but the empanadas are still delicious! I was able to just drive up this week and saw they are indeed still open, so I am revising my review to account for their tasty eats. I finally got my birria empanadas, and I'm pleased. :)Initial Review:I placed an order online 2 weeks ago, but when I went to pick it up the place was completely closed. I called and called some more but no one ever picked up the phone. Now the phone is disconnected. I think it's safe to say I'm not getting those empanadas. :(The order online option is still totally active too which feels a bit scammy to me.

Some of the fluffiest, well-packed empanadas I've had in ages, and their choices are very wide. They even have a vegan empanada + cheese and pizza empanadas for those vegetarians you know. For a very small nook in the wall on Woodward, this place is a hidden gem and you should definitely try some of their stuff out. (Also, MK is the SWEETEST woman ever. Walking in while she's there is like getting a motivational boost for the day.)

I ordered the al pastor, Havana and jersey steak empanadas. DELICIOUS. The empanadas are stuffed unlike other places who give you a pinch of meat or cheese. The staff is friendly and the food only took a couple minutes before it was ready. Def will be coming back again!
