This place has the worst mangu you’ll ever try. I asked for extra onions (willing to pay for it as well) and they gave me none. The mangu was so hard and taste was weird that it was uneatable. I got a papa rellena with no taste and a quarter of meat, the cheese empanada was also just bad. To top it off, I called them since I was missing an item and wanted to let them know about the food being off and lady told their coworker “crazy lady on the phone want free food” like if I didn’t understand Spanish. I called because I wanted to pick up what I was missing, not for free food! I don’t recommend this place.

I hate to say this, but my recent experience wasn’t great. The staff came off rude and uninterested, and it didn’t feel like anyone really cared about the business or the customers. This place used to be much better, which makes it even more disappointing. I really hope management takes a closer look at what’s going on and turns things around.

If u could give a zero I would this is the worst Dominican spot I ever been too this place is actually a disrespect to real Dominicans with how low quality the food is I came in for fried chicken rice and beans, the chicken WAS NOT CLEANED it was slimy oily and undercooked I have never met a Dominican that does not thoroughly was their chicken. This place is such low quantity the beans have no real flavor for herbs or such just tasted like a packet of sazon was dumbed on top. Should have read the reviews cause the same happen to other people

A picture is worth a thousand words. I have ordered from them before and the lack of care and consistency in this place is astronomical. This evening I ordered 2 cubanos, 2 acapurrias and 2 empanadas, and the only thing edible was the empanadas. The cubanos were soggy, cold and hardly had any fillings as shown in the picture. The acapurrias were burned to hell and hard as rocks, geez you could use them as a weapon. The last time I ordered from them previous to this one, was 9 yrs ago (from first location) and I did not order again due to the same situation. This place hasn’t change one bit. I would be embarrassed to serve this food to anyone.

This place is Spanish speaking only! No English. Even with Spanish speaking members of my group trying to get them to understand what I wanted was difficult. Needless to say, I ordered pollo fajitas and I received breaded and fried chicken tenders without any peppers or vegetables of any kind. When I asked for crema agria, I was given spoiled white gravy. Seriously... gravy that the milk had soured in. The rest of my group with the exception of one other was satisfied with their meal. I really think it was mostly due to a language barrier.

We had received a flyer for this restaurant and decided to try it out. I can't review the ambiance since we ordered take out so my review is solely on the food. Based on presentation, the food is unappealing. The breaded pork that I had ordered was practically charred and the mofongo was just mashed plantain with no aesthetic appeal. This alone made us skeptical about the quality of the food but we ate it nonetheless. The charred breading of the pork was completely overpowering and it tasted extremely bitter. The mofongo had no taste and if there was salt, it could have used a lot more. Also, the mofongo came without any gravy and provided the dryness it was heavily missed. The rice was decent, unexpected but decent. The maduros we ordered were pretty good but could have used a quick shake off because the oil was seeping out. I do appreciate the flan though, thoughtful gesture and it let us end the meal on a positive note. I don't think I'll be ordering from here again but I wish them the best.

I ordered a full chicken for a relatives birthday with sides from a sign left outside Only they left out the white meat. 25$ bill. I'm not sure if it was done so I don't have to wait for a fresh roasted chicken or like fried chicken place near by that seems take the best of the chicken and leave it out. The white meat. It was over priced to begin with but it's what my relative wanted . She wanted from pio pio really but I gave them a chance. If it was an ordinary day I'd shrug it off but my relative wasn't happy and that was her favorite part so she comes down on me to blame.

Restaurantji Recommends
the cashier charged me for 2 lemonades, 12 dollars each, instead on the menu and on the screens it showed me that it cost 6. we went back a few minutes later to ask for explanations, but the girl smiling and laughing confirmed that they cost 12. finally she charged me double for the lemonades that cost 6, we had taken 7 empanadas and 2 lemonades

The worst roasted chicken I have had in my life. It tasted like nothing. I seriously mean it when the chicken tasted like it was seasoned with salt and air. I'm never coming back to this place.
