Stopped by Five Guys on my walk home, craving a good bacon cheeseburger meal with fries. While I was looking forward to a solid meal, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
As I walked in, no greeting, no smile—just silence. I get it, we all have long days, but a little warmth goes a long way, especially in the hospitality industry. The real issue, though, was the cleanliness—or lack of it. The place was just filthy. French fries scattered on the floor, crumbs and leftover food sitting untouched on tables, wrappers everywhere, and the floor? Slippery, slimy, and straight-up hazardous. The smell in the air definitely needed some TLC.
I initially planned to dine in, but after seeing the state of the place, I quickly changed my mind and opted for takeout. When my food was ready, I politely asked for ketchup and mayo—again, no acknowledgment, no smile. I still thanked them with a smile as I left, hoping it would at least create a positive moment in their day.
I understand how tough it can be, but basic hospitality and cleanliness are non-negotiable. I truly hope management steps in to provide the team with the training and support they need—because great food deserves a great experience to go with it.

The food here is decent, but the prices are way too high—almost $30 per person for greasy, heavy food. Definitely not worth the cost. I left feeling very unhappy and disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend it.

I specifically asked them not to burn my patties and it's like they went out of their way to give me burnt hard burgers on the outside. Meat should not be crunchy. And the grill was too dirty which is probably why the meat was burnt on the outside. So disappointing! I will only visit the one in Bayonne. It's impeccably clean and the burgers are always juicy.
