I was having second thoughts leaving a 1 star review...but oh well. All I can say is this: I'm so proud to be Filipino-American but somehow Flip Sigi managed to annihilate my pride in being Filipino by serving dishes that can rival the dead sea in Israel. Most importantly, I hope they would stop selling FAKE FILIPINO DISHES disguised as "fusion".

I really don’t like leaving bad reviews of a place that is run by such friendly staff that I want to succeed. However, everything I’ve had here has been very bland. It’s strange because all the other Filipino food I’ve had (I’m married to a Filipino; I’ve had a lot!) has been extremely flavorful, which is what I love about it. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re trying to appeal to the masses, but there is definitely something missing here. It’s a shame because I want to love it.

The Cali burrito is addicting lol. Had the longanisa poutine and it's also good. It's very cozy and I think it's the main floor of a apartment building which I thought was unique.

Let’s start by saying it’s a cute spot beneath a apartment building. Unfortunately parking in Jersey city is awful to begin with but even worse over in this section. We were greeted by the cook when we arrived . He was the only one there running the show . We got there just before 12.Now on to the food !! I know there were a lot of positive reviews and this comes from a pretty strong Filipino/American that cook’s Filipino food and is one of my favorite foods. Also a big food critic so I guess you really have to try for yourself to make your own assessment.I was really wanting to order the dan Dan noods but they didn’t have that . So I decided to order longanisa taco ( no flavor and too much cheese ) suggestion you could brown the longanisa until crispy just like you would ground beef . Small squares of if over the top of the taco leave it pretty much tasteless throughout the rest of the taco. I also order the veggie fried rice with a fried egg on top and although it’s had a nice mixture of veggies I have to say probably the most unflavored fried rice I’ve ever eaten it’s like the seasonings were left out of it . ( very disappointed) . My husband ordered brunch wrap supreme with tots and although presentation was nice absolutely no flavor it was like you were biting into a lettuce wrap with nothing else in it. The tots were the best thing we ate out of everything. I had ordered a calamansi drink for my husband and I wanted a water but they were out of that also ??‍♀️ and I had said to my husband do you want to try the halo halo then was told they didn’t have that either . I had 3 strikes today and was extremely disappointed considering all the IG hype . Overall I had a very disappointing lunch and won’t be returning!!

Is this supposed to be Adobo O.G! I am not a chef, yet I know what a fried-rice is and certainty that ain't it. Also I though according to the menu/picture it comes with an egg on top which was lacking and not included looks like! Not to mention the sauce portion that I was given....!!!So Long!

The food portions is minimal for the amounts you're paying, definitely not in the heart of Filipino culture. Had to look up the about us to make sure it was really Filipino.5$ per taco for barely any filling and they missed a few items on my order. Food tastes good but it's a 2.50 taco at best and you will get more filling and affordable portions in the heart of times square. Tacqueria is close by and you'll do better to get your fix there.Onto the food, the tots and onion rings are crispy but you could tell they over cooked them for a bit too long in oil that should have been replaced at least a couple hours ago.The shrimp taco is the only real redeeming piece from my order being relatively good and crisped shot shell. The pork belly has left me wondering where the meat was in it. I had to open it up and found three sisig small chunks in a sea of tomatoes and onions.Flavor profile is okay, nothing screams Filipino in what I ordered. Maybe their food bowls say otherwise.I might give this place a second chance if it lowered it's prices or have two for that price. Otherwise, it's not worth the money or the trip. Especially with all the other competition popping up in Jersey City.

I hate to leave a negative review however I’ve communicated with the restaurant a couple times with no resolution to my issue. I ordered for pick up but when I arrived home I was missing a portion of my order (aka my husband’s meal). Fine, it happens. I contacted them immediately and they said they would refund me as requested. It’s been almost two weeks and still no refund after following up twice. This was a restaurant that we wanted to support; sad to say we no longer can as they’ve stolen our money.

This is a really beautifully decorated small location and I really enjoyed my taco. It was very flavorful and made me wanting another one, but we had other places to eat at that day so I had to hold back.My wife however wasn't happy with her food. She said it lacked any distinct flavor and wasn't worth the money. We were also disappointed that they didn't have a selection of Filipino drinks available. The server was excellent however and had great personality for customer service. I might come back here again for a taco but I I'd be the only one eating that day.

Food was amazing! My girlfriend and I got the Pork Belly Bao Bun, Longanisa Taco, Longanisa burger and the Dan Dan Noodles. Then the Ube Macapuno for desert. Everything was delicious.Paolo was the one serving and preparing the food for us and he was very friendly.

Got the burger, adobo chicken bowl, and fries today with my boyfriend. The burger got him sick he couldn’t finish the rest of it. I ordered scallions on with my bowl and they put a lot but that wasn’t the problem the issue was that the bowl was cold and the chicken barely had flavor along with the rice. The one thing we did enjoy were the fries.

A great welcome to Jersey! Got the fried rice and Dan Dan Noods minus the sausage. The food was 10/10 amazing and flavorful, and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. If that wasn’t enough, the vibes were immaculate and they were killing it on the aux. I can’t wait to come back!! Maybe to try those BOGO $1 tacos on Tuesday ~

We stopped by Flip Sigi ove the weekend. It’s a very unconventional spot, as it sits in the lobby space of a apartment building. Residents walk in and out while we dine at the restaurant. There’s also the laundry room at the front left side of the store. All these components make it slightly uncomfortable as diners are mot used to such environment. We got the chicken taco and pork bun bao. The bao had such tiny piece of pork, never seen a piece of meat take only half of a bao bun. But the tacos had lots chicken. It had hint of oiliness too. But tasted great with the spicy mayo. The person taking our order was very nice and kind. He went out of his way make a shaved ice for our daughter. Overall I think it will a good spot for good dine in place for that building’s occupants, but for others take out would be preferred.
