I love eating at Green Pear. I love Isabella and Alfredo and their beautiful small restaurant that they are serving authentic food. My go to is beef goulash and pierogi.
Feels like home

AMAZING food, cosy, European vibe. Nicest owner in The Heights. Much better food than nearby The H. Highly recommend, definitely will be back for that poppy cake

Surprising gem in Jersey City. A small, lovely place with a special family atmosphere. Authentic, delicious grandma-style food. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff. It's a pleasure to be there, enjoy eating, and talk with the server, chef, and owner. Thank you!
Parking: We were lucky to find the closest parking spot on the street.

They were very proactive and easy to work with ahead of my large-party (12 people) gathering. I really appreciated the great variety of foods (especially the desserts), as there was something for everyone. And the vibe... gotta love a random zebra, chill lounge music, and videos of acrobatic performances in the background. I'm grateful to Alfredo for making it easy to work with them, and I would happily return.
Vegetarian options: A decent number of vegetarian or pescatarian options.

Incredibly overpriced. Very disappointed that the food was expensive and bland. The gnocchi tastes frozen. Barely any chicken in the dish (Chicken Paprikash) and the gnocchi was swimming in oil.

Isabella and Alfredo created a very unique establishment where its patrons will feel the vibe of visiting a friend's house for dinner rather than a restaurant. The ambiance is very eclectic, cozy and welcoming. You can tell the decor was hand picked by the owners and each individual piece tells a story, including the name which the owners were kind enough to share with us. Isabella's menu delivers Hungariarian flavor with a touch of Balkan spin, creating a rare feast for your tastebuds. The dishes are mouth watering, well cooked and flavorful. Many thanks to my fellow fine watch connoisseur, who's name I cant remember, my appologies. We really enjoyed our time there, the food and the friendliness of the owners are second to none!

Simply Amazing! The best perogies I have ever had. You could taste the love that was poured into the food. BYOB. The Hungarian charcuterie board was delightful as well. Isabella is a wonderful person! I will definitely be going back to try the rest of the
