I love that this is one of the very few places in JC that has hookah. I have never had food here so I can't speak to that. The hookah was decent the drinks were not good however.

Had brunch there for my fiance with about 25 people, they let us use the outside patio area which was heated. Food was delicious and drinks were endless. Would definitely go back.

I used to go to hard groves old location and always loved it. This was sadly disappointing. The drinks weren't bad but I asked for a margarita and was served a mojito. TWICE. The place wasn't packed at all but the service was lacking as if they were short staffed. We ordered the appetizer sampler and it was so disappointing. The calamari was chewy and inedible. The top portion of the app was chorizo with fried plantains. Also inedible. The croquettes and papa Lareina were actually delicious. Thank god Our entrees were also lacking. I had the garlic shrimp mofongo. It was ok at best. My husband had the chicken quesadilla. It was also. Ok. We waiting for our 2nd round of drinks for 45 minutes. Just a bad night. Sad because they used to really set the bar high

Service here was amazing. Welcoming and friendly. The food was on point. One of the best hidden gems in Hudson County. Their back patio had the best vibes. Highly recommend!

The Food was so good it was gone in 60 sec. I had a great server named James who has a great attitude. He was entertaining and made the experience more enjoyable. They also had a cool back spot that was real chill. I highly recommend this place to anyone who want a nice chill spot to hang with friends.

Comfortable and spacious indoor space. The yucca fries are great - perfectly fried. The ropa vieja mofongo has great taste though I think the ropa vieja could have been more finely shredded. My husband loved the oxtail special. Margaritas are also pretty good - good taste and not watered down.

Both Helen and James made sure me and my friends had a great time! They were so professional, friendly, and fun, and had great menu recommendations.Taking off two stars - the manager Alexa was aggressive and rude, and made us feel very uncomfortable. We almost left before we ordered - Alexa shockingly threatened to call the cops because we wanted to sit for a few minutes and catch up before looking at the menu.
My husband ordered the Pernil, described as "slow roasted pork shoulder marinated in garlic with sweet plantain," to go. It comes with two sides so he asked for rice and veggies. He received a Cuban sandwich with sweet plantain and tostones. Not at all what he ordered. When he brought this to the employee's attention, they did not apologize or offer to get him what he actually ordered. Instead, they offered him a drink... which they didn't bring.

Fist time coming to hard grove with my family. Very cozy, nice and clean . The food was outstanding. the DJ was great! Love the music . My server’s name was James . He was very intensive and professional he really made us feel welcome. He gave us some great food choices and was very friendly. He made sure we were 100% satisfied. James made our experience a wonderful night out , I will definitely come back. I’m definitely recommending my friends and family. Thank you ! .

Recently move to Jersey City and have been trying all the local restaurants. Hard Grove has a great atmosphere. Bartenders are super friendly. The food was excellent. Loved the grilled chicken encebollado and when it came to the dessert, my husband loved the flan. Will definitely come back. Thank you!
