I was visiting Jersey City on Friday evening and decided to visit Harry's Daughter. I have to say the drinks were good (very pricy), and the food was excellent. It was just two of us. The check came, and we both split it. We didn't realize until we got home that a 20% TIP was included on the check. I am a good tipper when it comes to great service and good food, but I am really pissed that the tip was included for TWO people. We both gave another TIP not realizing the TIP...read full review

Harrys Daughter offers a great vibe and good food. The oxtail, red snapper, jerk chicken, curry goat, and braised short ribs are favorites. The portions are large for sharing. The drinks are strong and give tropical vibes, with the frozen rum punch being a highlight. The corn soup is super tasty. The decor is aesthetically pleasing and inviting, with smooth Caribbean decor. The service is friendly and the seating is quick. However, some dishes like the fish could be more flavorful, and the jerk wings were a bit overcooked. The fries are just okay and not amazing. The lobster mac and cheese was underwhelming.
