I am a true street food aficionado! And I take all my street bites very seriously with extreme attention to detail in flavor and authenticity. Exploring Hot Breads on the recommendation of a friend was the happiest discovery for me! Never have I eaten such delish and authentic pani puri after leaving India! You can’t beat this flavor anywhere else! They have cart style dabeli, pav bhaji and wada pav as well. Absolutely lip-smacking!! Must-tries, all of them!
The service is a huge no!
The only distasteful thing about this place is the experience and service! Depends on who is attending to you. But every time I have been there, I have always felt that the staff is quite rude and arrogant. And unfriendly too, to top it all! Hate that! I have rarely had pleasant conversations here. Hopefully the owner reads the reviews and takes notes on where they need to level up! I love their food and hence I’m a returning customer!! Recommend the place for their pani puri, dabeli and pav bhaji!
The BEST pani puri in the whole USA.
Being from mumbai, living in New Jersey, i have always been craving for evening snack of going for pani puri.
But every time I eat at Hot breads. It takes me back to the same old indian taste 😍
Best Pani Puri spot in USA.
Ordered a 4 lb Black Forest cake for a party with handwritten frosting, total $80. Cake was ready on time and tasted great.
Only place in jersey city where you can get Eggless cakes and pastries. Other place that sells eggless cakes now is Atul Bakery.
Visited this morning, and it was a delightful experience! The vada pav was authentic and full of Mumbai flavors, while the dahi batata puri was refreshing with its chilled, flavorful dahi. The rabdi jalebi was creamy and perfectly crisp, making it a standout. The service setup was smooth, and the overall ambience added to the charm. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mumbai street food!

I went here to buy a cake. I got the m a go one. The quality was not great. Presentation wasn't so appealing. Cake was fine. Had lots of cream more than cake itself. No real mango in the cake. Just mango sauce.

Extremely disappointed with the service here. I left instructions through Doordash and even called the restaurant after to confirm that they received the instructions and they still got it wrong. There's a reason why you're seeing so many 1-star reviews here. It just seems like they take their customers for granted.

I had to Wait for 30 minutes to pick up my food. That I can understand due to the weekend. I ordered dry Manchurian But it was completely overcooked and burnt when I opened the box at my home. No one can serve this kind of food even to animals.

"I visited this pani puri stall today with my family, hoping to have a good time. Unfortunately, the lady serving us, who was wearing black lipstick liner, was incredibly rude and horrible. When I asked her to add masala, she responded with attitude, saying 'FIRST EAT THIS' in a condescending tone. To make matters worse, she began speaking in Hindi, assuming I wouldn't understand because I'm from North East India. She even referred to me as 'Chinese', which is not only racist but also inaccurate, as I am Indian. I noticed that she has a history of similar behavior, as evidenced by an older review labeling her as the 'rude pani puri lady'. Management needs to take action and address her unacceptable behavior."

Such horrible experience.Waited for Panipuri almost 30 minutes when my family’s turn came that serving lady was literally shouting on us as if we are eating for free.Specially she was shouting on my uncle and aunty. They are over 70 years. That’s shame.I don’t even what to give one star.If they are exhausted hire more people or close the business but don’t treat customers like they are eating free .That lady is literally one horrible person who doesn’t know how to respect elders.
Went there for pani puri; the lady serving was pathetic and rude. An absolute no no to have someone as rude as her to serve food. She was not okay to make any edits and was grumpy. The puris were extremely soft-soggy and she was like - eat or leave it; these are the only puris we have. The assorted flavors of pani were also okayish. Would never go back even if it was for free.
