This restaurant was really excellent! The cuisine was excellent, especially the chicken biriyani. The staff was really kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was quite laid back with photographs and locations of Hyderabad painted on the wall. Without a doubt, I would return there if I ever returned to NYC or NJ.

There’s a Hyderabad House in almost every city, even back home in Chicago. so when I was in Jersey City, I went straight to the one here. The food was extremely delicious and truly authentic Hyderabadi in taste. The mutton biryani and chicken 65 were spot on, and the service was really good. The ambience and dining area could use a little improvement, but honestly, when the food is this good, it’s easy to overlook. Overall, a very satisfying experience, highly recommend to anyone who loves real Hyderabadi food!

had the Hyderabadi Biryani here and it was absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and aromatic with authentic spices. The chicken (or mutton) was tender and well-marinated. The portion size was generous, and it felt like real Hyderabadi taste. Service was quick, staff was polite, and the ambience was clean and comfortable. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone craving authentic biryani.”

I honestly regret eating at Hyderabadi House JC. We found hair in two different soup cups during our last visit. This is not even the first time — one time I even saw a broken glass piece in the food. That’s a serious health hazard! When we complained, the staff didn’t care, and the owner only showed up after making us wait 15 minutes. Instead of apologizing, he argued and acted like he was doing us a favor. Clearly, this place has no hygiene standards and zero respect for customers. Never again.

I usually don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I feel this needs to be shared. We recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. While the staff was polite and the ambiance was decent, we were shocked to find hair in our food.
When we brought it to the staff’s attention, the response was not as apologetic or professional as we expected. A situation like this not only ruins the dining experience but also raises serious concerns about hygiene and food safety.
I request folks be careful when you get food from here. Hopefully, management takes this seriously and improves their standards.
