Very cozy, local place, yet they have a really good bagel with a non-dairy tofu cream cheese option! He also had some almond milk behind the counter for coffee, if you ask.
If you can't find the entrance, the door is aaaall the way to the right, seemingly past the cafe itself.

I used to really enjoy going there Sam was a nice guy, but he seems to think that his oat milk doesn’t taste bad but it really does so he’s become mean about it when all I’m trying to do is help him out by telling him his milk is bad

Pos:- Really affordable prices. Especially in the JC downtown area.- Excellent coffee with self-service auto refill.- It's not a crowded place. So you can hang out with free WiFi at any time.- Big portions- Great variety of options.Neg:- Food wasn't great. Just ok- The place needs a deep cleaning all over.- Owner (you can notice is a very hard worker) is a little grumpy with the customers.Overall:I don't consider myself scrupulous when it comes to choosing food and I like variety. So I will definitely come back when I'm in the area looking to enjoy a cheap breakfast and good coffee

Go somewhere else, not only is this place look disgusting, food is not fresh, but the owner has listed low prices and decides to charge whatever he wants… When he was called out for it he started yelling then decided to throw a quarter at me… In NY/NJ if a bagel shop automatically toasts a bagel without asking it’s a huge red flag that they know their bagel isn’t good… Go somewhere else…

Came in today for a bagel with cream cheese and jelly and it was really good. This is a nice local breakfast spot I go too. With great prices. The man working there is nice and friendly. He is very hardworking and attentive.

The owner is very polite, kind, and efficient in my experience. The prices are beyond reasonable for this area of Jersey City, and the food is always solid. I'm not a bagel person, but I like the rolls; taylor ham, egg, and cheese is my go-to. I always order in-person or for pick-up only and have had zero issues. I always see the owner holding down the fort in the front and back, so I give him a little time and space to let him do what he needs to do. I'm a fan of small businesses, especially ones that clearly take pride in their establishment. Pretty surprised at the negative reviews, but to each their own, I suppose. My go-to breakfast lunch spot when I'm at work. I am a fan ❤️

The eggs and bread cakes, very good flavor, good portion, the service was relatively fast. The price according to the dish. The Lord who attends, does everything by himself, but the wait was not long. Suddenly the floor of the premises needs to be cleaned a little.

The line at Wonder Bagels was too long and Hidden Grounds was closed, so we popped in for 2 bagels with flavored cream cheese and 2 coffees. The bagels were definitely not fresh, which is surprising considering it was a Sunday morning. Cream cheese was tasty but they skimped on the cream cheese. Coffee was self service in those coffee canteens, but it was hot and fresh.Id go back for a cheap cup of coffee but it was basically like getting breakfast at a 7-11.It was affordable at least. 2 bagels with flavored cream cheese and 2 coffees was $14.

The mornings were usually pleasant, and I would often order a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and onions on a long roll. One day, when I went to eat my sandwich, I found eggshells in it. I calmly approached the employee and informed him of the situation. However, he accused me of becoming loud and aggressive, even though I was speaking normally. I told him that my voice carries, but I was not yelling. Despite this, he continued to be unhelpful and told me that my money did not matter. I reminded him that my reviews do matter. As a result, I have decided never to eat there again. If you are looking for quality food and service, I would not recommend this café.
