Rooftop bar in Exchange place in Jersey City. Ordered a bunch of drinks and my favorite was Blue Monkey margarita. Finger food was good and they gave us complimentary shots of pink lemonade in the end. A fun evening and good service.

Would give 0 stars for discrimination. Went to have some drinks with a friend on what I thought would be a nice rooftop. After placing and handing us our drink orders, waitress return to our table requesting to “put a card on file for the table”. Not even a request to open a tab and just left with card and didn’t return card until we asked for the bill/left. Never been to a restaurant that needed to have a card on file before providing service… We were the only POC at the time and I did not see her request this from any other table which was primarily composed of primarily Caucasian individuals.

We were walking around the area when we happened on this place right off of Washington St. Looked interesting and had a rooftop so we decided to go in and have some drinks. We walked into the bar area with a narrow staircase on the right hand side leading up to the rooftop. There were 1 couple at the bar and though the bartendar saw us, she didn't make a move to seat us or get someone who could or at least greet us and tell us it's OK to proceed up the stairs. Finally we got tired of waiting so we started up the stairs at which point she asked us to wait while she walkie-talked the server tending to the rooftop to let het know a party of 3 was on the way. The staircase i steep and long so 4 flights might be arduous. We had some drinks and while the prices were average for the area, the wine which was around $12/glass came in these thimble sized glasses only half-full so after the first round we left. Overall the place is cool and I could see it caters to the local crowd.but our experience was not that cool.

Best, cutest bar. Bartender was wonderful and friendly who hooked me and my husband with some drinks ( I don't remember the name , yikes!! ) but darn , those drinks, I think one was red monkey and the other was peace something .... they were the best.

Spent ~$50 on an order from here and they unilaterally decided not to deliver after an hour and a half of waiting. No phone call, no cancellation, nothing. Extremely inconsistent service. Some nights it is fantastic, other nights you get the B team and you will be lucky if you are served at all.

I came to this place for the first time, I was looking for a cool place to eat somethingI came across the Iron monkeyWhat brought to my attention was the Monkey bourbon whiskeyPretty good I'll sayThen I ordered the " Monkey ate wings " Thai Chili" was good but not wow for me to say I will go back againThe drinks, Oh yes!!Atmosphere is excellent and pretty clean placeI went to the rooftop area , pretty cool place to be.I will recommend to tryNot everyone has the same tasteParking can be thought
is it customary to ask for a card/payment BEFORE eating dinner because that has NEVER happened to me before. or to tell a table of two there isn't a table available so we have to contest then the multiple empty seats magically becomes available. One of the waitresses who worked on the rooftop 5/25 made our entire experience uncomfortable and unpleasant. I will never visit again and will never recommend

I stopped in around 8:30 on a Thursday night with my sister and my dad. We were greeted at the bar by a very nasty bartender and hostess. It’s a good beer selection, but that only goes so far when they pour warm foam into mini daiquiri glasses. We had to ask to take our drinks outside because the music selection and high temperature inside made it almost unbearable to even stand at the bar. Sad to see a neighborhood place run so poorly.

This place is very strange. Our interaction with the bartender was so transactional that it felt like I was making a purchase at McDonald's. No eye contact, no conversation, no help choosing a beer. Just a person in a headset waiting to take my money.Also, both of our beers were warm and flat. If they're having issues with a keg room or gas, maybe tell the customers instead of giving them a bad product. ??

We have been here twice.. my daughter loves the place. they gave her a bubble toy so she wants to come here everytime we come to exchange place ?. the rooftop is awesome.. great food.. good drinks.. great service..

Friendly staff. Only ever been there early evening, so not sure what it's like later on. But a nice pub on a few levels with a small roof patio as well.
