This is my first time coming here and if it wasn't so far away from my house it wouldn't be my last. They were very nice and welcoming when we walked in. Clearly, we were out of our element but the young lady had issues with answering all the questions we had. They have a sit-down area and the serving sizes are good for the prices in my opinion. I have no clue what we ordered except the fried pork chop and garlic rice. 🙃 The is very plain and the pork was not really seasoned but it was not nasty. You can tell the oil was clean because the pork was still light and had no burnt taste and you couldn't taste other food which is always a plus.

Worst customer service. Waiting a long time, while others get their orders completed. Lack of professionalism. The food not that good to be worth the hassle.

The food is good but too oily for my liking. Maybe I'll get grilled meat next time.

Service is lacking.

My son and I ordered crispy pasta, Chicharon bulaklak (although it wasn’t quite as good as the other dishes), and fried chicken wings from this restaurant, and wow, the food was incredible! We were so engrossed in the deliciousness that we completely forgot to take pictures to show everyone what this heavenly meal looked like. We just dove in and paused our conversation until we finished eating—LOL! I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's a must-visit and a must-try for anyone looking for great food!

I recently ordered Chicharon Bulaklak along with two orders of Bakchoy. The Bulaklak is my favorite, so I tend to order it regularly. However, I always find myself hoping that the portion size improves, especially considering the price of $13.95. Unfortunately, on my last order, I was quite disappointed with the amount of food I received. The serving size was smaller, not even 10 small pieces in the container. They had to insert the vinegar (sawsawan) in the middle so it would make it look full hahaha pathetic! It felt unreasonable for the price I paid, and it made me wonder if the cook is even aware of how much customers are being charged.

I just ate there with my Big Cousin, his son, my bro, my sister and her husband. The food is authentic and the service was great. The young lady that helped us was the highlight as her personality and courteousness was unparalleled to the level of service I've ever received. She also retrieved my sunglasses I almost left! But very very good food.

Terrible Customer Service – Check Your Takeouts!

I wanted to support this small business, but after my recent experience, I won’t be returning. My girlfriend and I ordered squid and java rice, but when I got home—an hour away—I discovered they gave me four cups of garlic rice instead. I should’ve checked before leaving, but I trusted them to get it right.

I called the restaurant six times before someone finally picked up. The person on the phone didn’t even bother to take my phone number, instead asking me to call back in 10 minutes while they checked if the squid was left in the back. When I called again 15 minutes later, another girl answered and gave me the same story. Then a lady named Charmaine took over, repeated the same line about checking the back, and said they were busy right now, asking if I could call back tomorrow.

What kind of customer service is this? They made the mistake, yet they expect me to keep calling them back? And the excuse is that they’re busy? The whole situation was handled so poorly, it felt like they didn’t even believe me about the missing squid. Do they really think I have time to waste chasing down a $20 squid order when I live an hour away?

This place was going to be my go-to spot whenever I was in Jersey City, but after this experience, I’m taking my business elsewhere. It’s disappointing because I prefer supporting small businesses over big chains like Max’s, but if this is how they treat their customers, they’ve just lost one.

Service crew were good. Ordered chicken inasal but it doesn’t taste like Bacolod inasal at all. It was in a sweet side and kind of dry which I don’t like it coz no lemon grass Flavor.
While their Batchoy was perfect.
Cansi is good too.

The Tofu sisig was a disappointment. They used fried tofu that was made into sisig. They should have fried it themselves. And the siomai was another one, was it a vegetarian siomai? Because I certainly didn’t taste the shrimp or the pork.

Was disappointed with their kare kare - they put cabbage and green beans instead of pechay or bokchoy and long beans. Needs a bit more of annatto. Laing was a disappointed too - shrimps were overcooked and kinda soupy.
The grilled chicken and sisig are okay.

We went here on a Sunday and the service was slow they forgot the rice and then there was a service charge. Are we in the Philippines where this is a thing? Almost forgot, they didn't provide water and the place wasn't as busy.
