I’ve been here twice and will continue to come back. I grew up in Vietnam and I’m always looking for authentic Vietnamese food in the NYC/JC area which in my experience is hard to come by. I’ve LOVED almost everything I’ve tried so far at Jersey BĂĄnh MĂŹ: grilled pork banh mi, nuoc mam wings, Thai iced tea, shrimp summer rolls, and their latest addition: bĂĄnh mĂŹ cháșŁo (not yet on the menu, but coming very soon!). The bulgogi kimchi cheesesteak bĂĄnh mĂŹ wasn’t my favorite but that’s mostly because I’m skeptical about fusion dishes, but it wasn’t bad. The baguette used for bĂĄnh mĂŹ is always hot and crunchy just the way it’s supposed to be. The owner family is sweet and always hard at work. Thank you for bringing authentic Viet flavors to this area of Jersey City!

Best Vietnamese restaurant in jersey city 100%. Everything I have tried is great from this place
their Bahn Mi is AMAZING. There is a reason why the place is called jersey bahn mi! The bread they used is fresh and soft, unlike many other places where they use stale and hard bread.

Great addition to JC! Ordered classic, grilled chix, grilled pork, and tofu bahn mi. All were on point, everything you’d expect, light crispy bread, perfectly cooked meat, fresh cilantro, funk from the pate/pickles, and a little heat to wake up the senses. Family loved them all. Quality ingredients and priced accordingly. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Clean addition of a much needed viet spot in this part of Jersey City. They specialize in their local take of banh mi sandwiches. They also offer special one off items, weekly. They have all the staples: Viet coffee, avocado shake, summer rolls, spring rolls, banh mi, noodle bowls, rice dishes, and if you're lucky, pho.

Vegetarian options: There are French fries, tofu options on menu items, and green smoothies.

Kid-friendliness: Casual eatery

Wheelchair accessibility: Street level, so it's ADA compliant

This spot offers great customer service, a fresh and modern interior, and a simple yet satisfying menu. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure every customer feels welcomed. The ambiance inside is clean and inviting, with a contemporary feel that adds to the overall experience. One of the standout items on the menu is the bahn mi sandwich. The sandwich comes with fresh ingredients, and the crispy baguette bread provides the perfect texture with every bite. It’s delicious, filling, and a great choice for a quick lunch. I also tried the yellow chicken curry, and it was excellent. The curry was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice, making it one of the best I’ve had in the area. The portions were generous, and I left feeling completely satisfied. This place is located in Journal Square, just a short 5-minute walk from the PATH train station, making it super convenient for commuters or anyone exploring the area. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a hearty meal, this spot has something for everyone. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal in the neighborhood.

Special thank you to the owners for showing my family their brand new restaurant. They’re very welcoming and very kind to show us everything that is on the menu and what exactly they are serving and what foods are related to what we would know. They make an outstanding bulgogi kimchi cheese fries and cheesesteak! Definitely love the atmosphere and positive vibes once you walk into their restaurant. Very grateful for their services and we’ll definitely be coming back for more delicious Vietnamese and Korean fusion dishes!

I am not sure how anyone can like this place. the sandwiches are so dry the Bahn Mi isn't even authentic. its pure Americanized without any flavor. The guy probably the owner is a weirdo kept looking at me or checking me out. suspicious behavior.
the rolls were very dry and not to the satisfaction of real Vietnamese style. I don't know who gives everyone restaurant licenses but This one needs to be revoked. yuck

Nice place, very clean and spacious. Perhaps a bit too spacious, kind of feels like a recc room. The staff is incredibly nice, communicative and involved. You can feel the love emanating. The food is ok. Quality ingredients I think, just lacks a bit in the flavor department. I had the fried tofu banh mi. I'd recommend switching over to mock duck. Needed a little more mayo and a little something else. It was a bit dry and plain. My gf had the pork rice noodle bowl. She said the same of the pork. It didn't quite hit the spot due to lack of seasoning / flavoring. Kimchi cheese fries were awesome. Glad this place is here though! Not many quality restaurants in the area.
