The whole point of Jimmy John’s is their “freaky fast delivery” but if they can’t get the delivery order right, what’s the point? My order and receipt explicitly state “napkins, cut in half, add mustard” and I even named each order after the specs for each sandwich (one was “EZ Avo” and one was “Onions”). My items arrived unlabeled, uncut, no napkins, no straws, no mustard, and the drinks were not distinguished between Coke vs Diet Coke. Why should I have to open the sandwiches to see which one has onions? And neither sandwich ended up having any avo. Why would you send a delivery with no straws? Luckily I’m home and can pour the drink into my own cups but what if I wasn’t? I have been having a lot of similar issues with this location lately making it incredibly frustrating to spend nearly $40 for 2 mediocre, incorrect sandwiches, and drinks that cannot be drunk.

I use to love Jimmy John’s. If you looked at my purchase history I was a twice a weeker.
I live up the block and use to get them on the regular… but woah. This is just not edible. See picture for what I threw away and I was hungry. Like hungry, hungry.
See the picture. I’ll admit I did try to find the edible parts but the 5 grain bread was like it wasn’t actually cooked or defrosted. It was like a sponge. All dough.
I’m tried the lil John turkey and never again. I understand the concept of a mini but I had no clue that meant 1 slice of Turkey (literally one tiny slice of Turkey) on a piece of bread with nothing else on it for $6.75!! What a joke. I know it says nothing else on it but even the picture shows more than one tiny slice of meat.
The sad part is I was very hungry, but I just couldn’t eat it.
Lots of options out there. The search begins

One of my all-time go-to's for fresh and delicious sandwiches. I used to be a JJ's delivery driver back in 2012 in Philadelphia. I would deliver sandwiches, come back to the store and munch on the bread. Sometimes I think back on those days and smile. I had it so good.

To MShepherd. I bet I know what you look like because that worker you described tends to ignore certain customers, if you know what I mean.
Yeah, stay away from Jimmy John's in Jersey City. There are loads of great sandwich places in this city that will appreciate your business and value you as a customer.
Veloce Specialty Sandwiches, No Forks Given, Our Hero, The Little Sandwich Shop, and Mordi's Sandwich Shop
are just a few places to buy great tasting sandwiches in Jersey City!
Good luck and good eatin' somewhere else!

The Jimmy John's of Jersey City serves grossly overpriced subs that are so skimpy I'm surprised that they are still in business. I paid $52.41 for 2 large subs, 2 cookies and 1 pickle. The price would have been okay if the food quality and quantity matched the price point. I received a barely-there turkey and bacon sub and a tuna sub that was so lacking in tuna that it was basically a big bread sandwich. I expressed my concern about the insufficient meat to bread ratio 2 separate times, but the sandwich maker ignored me regarding that issue. He did hear me because he removed tomatoes when I asked him to.
(Unfortunately, I had to come home and open a can of tuna to add enough filling to the tuna sub, and I had to add cheese to the turkey club in order to serve those two sandwiches to my family.) That's a failure on behalf of the Jimmy John's.
The cashier, Brittany was polite. The J.C. store is dingy and dated and the food to price ratio is unacceptable. Jimmy John's of Jersey City, N.J. fails to deliver a decent sandwhich for the prices they charge. The $2.50 chocolate chip cookie was okay, the $2.50 oatmeal cookie was stale, and the $2.50 pickle was actually great.
To sum it up, I wasted nearly $53 at the Jersey City Jimmy John's Sub Shop today.
If you want good sub sandwiches that give you what you PAY for, buy your sub sandwiches at Jersey Mike's instead. Stay clear of this Jimmy John's unless you are looking for high-priced hunks of bread.

From food to service to managment it was all a tragedy!
