Best John's there is. Time Square WISHES it could be this location. Where does all the love from the John's in NY come from? Like everything else that makes NY great, JERSEY! So if you ever are around the area and are in the mood for Italian. Please come and sit. Have a glass and enjoy, because you will enjoy. I recommend the Chicken Française, unless you're in the mood for something creamy, then their chicken Alfredo will have you begging for more, though you will leave some in your plate still because of how much they serve you. Pricy? A little bit. Worth it? EVERY PENNY! So yea... Go to this one.
-I placed an order of creamy fettuccine pesto with shrimp for $28.-I picked up the order within the time window given, 25-30 mins later- there were 4 shrimp, the pasta needed more seasoning and was really watery.SUMMARY: for the price and wait time I had higher expectations. I wouldn't order here again.
Great little neighborhood pizzeria with some awesome pies and apps. The wait staff is super friendly and it’s definitely a place to go out of your way for in Jersey City.
We walked and picked up a pie with meatballs to-go, it was the perfect ending to a long day. The pie was delicious!
Wow Anthony was our server, bartender and comic. What a wonderful personality he had and a big heart. The food at John's is always amazing but Anthony brought such delight to our day.
Love it!!! I am so going to bring everyone I can think of to John's Pizzeria. I usually cook my own meals and dont eat out much but this place is a definite winner! Staff was uber friendly I didn't feel out of place at all
Wow I am stuffed!! The appetizer (garlic rolls) is definitely meant to share across numerous people. It’s so amazing and stuffed with melted cheese great for all cheese lovers. I also got the margarita pizza which was great too but I’m definitely interested in trying out their pastas next time. Follow me on IG: @traveling.pharmacistt
Paninis are awesome here. Good price. Big portions
In a sea of premium restaurants, John's provides the perfect value proposition. The pizza is easily among the best, if not the best, in Paulus Hook. Portions are generous (as would be expected at a pizza place) and the atmosphere is upscale relative to the price point. $5 beers.
Food was good but nothing out of ordinary.. the linguine alle vongole was a bit bland and watery.. Added parmesan cheese to make it salty and not make it watery

Ordered from here probably a dozen times. The pizza itself is very good but the service is one of the worst in the area. If you order online or over the phone for pickup, double the amount of time they tell you it will be. If you order in person, prepare to wait an hour for a pizza. It’s good but probably not worth the wait.
Very disappointed. Waited almost 50 minutes for a small pie on Monday around 3. There was no one in the restaurant..
Overpriced Pizza with Average, Salty taste. Not worth the price tag.
Excellent pizza and service! love it!
Large traditional pizza and a pitcher of Yuengling. It was good.
