Amazing food and great hospitality. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines and is looking for unique flavor combinations; casual yet truly experiential dinner. Try the beef sandwich and summer rolls as starters and do not question how a summer roll can be this good -its that good

Outstanding food. Really one of the best and most innovtive food offerings in JC. Had the scallops, chicken Banmi, crispy eggplant. All were fantastic. However, the atmosphere was lacking just out of management effort. The bar was cluttered with cleaning supplies (not being used), ladder up in front window (still up a day later after not being used), random packages all over the place. A small effort in improving atmosphere would go a long way.

The food is incredible. So flavorful and well made. We got the summer rolls, filet mignon bahn mi sando, Chilean sea bass and garlic noodles. Wow. So delish! The only downside is that it was freezing cold in there on a very cold night, so I docked a star for that. Service was great!

It’s delicious actually! I got the bah mi sandwich, the pork cutlet is very tender, will order again.
And also got the stuffed wings, quite nice. Two items for $30 take out.

Best scallop crudo I’ve ever had because of its coconut milk sauce. Also loved the chicken katsu sando (in fact, I preferred it over the filet mignon sando) Chilean sea bass, and the crab garlic noodles.
Highly recommend the pho and the sea bass!

Creative, well executed and delicious dishes! Ube Tiramisu was the highlight! Summe rolls and gyoza stuffed chicken wings were both amazing. Crab garlic noodles and waghu pho were great too.

Food was absolutely delicious, but the service was really disappointing. Our waiter was extremely rude — he even started taking away our plates while we were still eating, without asking. I also mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, and he didn’t bother to put a candle on the dessert, even though the table next to us got one on their dessert.
The worst part was how freezing cold the restaurant was. There was clearly no heat on, and I was literally shaking the entire time. It was an icy day outside, and the inside felt no better.
The only reason I gave a higher score, despite all of this, is because the food truly was amazing. The peppered steak and crab garlic noodles were incredible, and the chicken wings were fantastic.
I don’t know if I’d go back here just because the experience was horrible despite paying high prices for the food.

Good food but small portions. We ordered 2 entrees and a side. We were still hungry so ordered the tebasaki but it came after 30 minutes or so. It was a busy night but it felt like too long for tebasaki.
I ordered the sea bass. It didn’t say on the menu that it had noodles in it so I ordered rice on the side. The server did not inform us and when we asked questions about the food they gave us the wrong information, sounded like they didn’t know the menu. Like I asked about the tebasaki and he really couldn’t explain the dish but he said it’s good and very popular.

Amazing Vietnamese fusion food - so creative yet at the same time very approachable. Every dish was well balanced in flavor.
We got the beef tataki, Chilean sea bass, Wagyu pho, and the matcha flan. It was all excellent and we are definitely coming back!

Have been a few times already, including opening night, and Kat Khao came right out of the gate with some phenomenal dishes. Not traditionally a summer roll guy but theirs is an absolute must order, and beef tataki is a must as well. Have enjoyed all the dishes really. Strong recommend.

Started with the beef tataki and scallop crudo and both were excellent. Filet Mignon banh mi was a fun play on a katsu sandwich with banh mi toppings. Garlic crab noodles were absolutely loaded with crab and delicious. Wish we weren’t too stuffed to try the ube tiramisu but we will be back. Hope to see the menu grow a bit too. Absolutely reccomend

Place charged me $100 when I had to cancel a day of reservation because a family member had a cough. What a bunch of creeps. I guess business is doing very poorly. Enjoy my $100. Sounds like you need it more than I do.
