The main reason I won't give this place a full 5 stars is because I worry about the digital safety they provide customers who pay online. I have noticed a strange correlation between certain payments I'll make with this restaurant, and fraud on my account shortly after. In the past 16 months, I believe I've gone through about 4-5 debit and credit cards with today being the most recent offense. I do not use my credit card and intentionally used it to order a few days ago because I worried about not being able to trace purchases just for me to see charges over $500 made on my account 3 days later. Remember, this is not the first time this has happened.
Again, I love the food; however, I'll never order online again and would advise everyone pay with cash.

I've ordered delivery twice. Both times it took well over an hour and the food was barely warm when it arrived. The second time, the wonton soup was overly salted and both the egg roll and chow mein were spiced with such hot peppers that I had to throw it awa. I won't be ordering from them again.

Ordered Chinese food from these guys about a few months ago. And I got my food at a reasonable time. You gave the guy the money and as I was eating the food I found a thumbtack in the food and I went ahead and made a call to the restaurant saying that I wanted my money back. They proceed to insinuate that I was the one that planted the thumbtack in my food after providing photo evidence of thumbtack in the food and in my hands. Then they proceed to tell me that they're not going to give me my full money back. Only from what I paid out the food which was like $11 but I gave the delivery guy $20 so they basically just stole my money. Please avoid this place at all cost. It's clear to me and due to my experience that they do not care about your well-being. Only care about the money. Take your business elsewhere. Do not go to these guys.
Located in The Heights, Jersey city this is one of the legacy places in the neighborhood and visiting the place for the first time since 2019. First time, the rates were pretty affordable but obviously given the inflation over the past 5 years the rates have been increased but still affordable.Being a typical Chinese restaurant, just don't expect a great ambiance as they prefer to focus more on the quality of food! The service is pretty fast as they delivered the food within 10 mins despite giving me a time limit of 15mins.I ordered Hot and sour soup, Pan fried chicken dumplings and Veg Fried rice.Hot and Sour soup: Initially thought it would be chicken but turned out veg. The soup was living to its name though it was a little less hot than expected and had mushrooms, veggies, and a good amount of soy sauce and it tasted good.Pan fried chicken dumplings: Initially thought of ordering steamed but went for pan fried and loved it! The layering was good not too thick and thin whereas I wish the chicken had a bit of spices but I think they had added chives. The soy sauce accompanied by it was good too.Veg Fried rice: Fried rice had snow peas, broccoli, carrot, green peas, baby corn. The rice though felt a bit dry and could have been better. They served it in a takeout box and the box was a pretty cute one!Overall an affordable place to get good Chinese food within the neighborhood.

Absolutely love this place!!! My family and I have been ordering from here since forever! The food always stays fresh and the service is super polite and sweet. We've eaten both dine-in and delivery. Regarding delivery, the food is always delivered quite fast and the deliver guy is super sweet. Any fried food we get always tastes fresh and the oil doesn't taste like it's been sitting there. Overall one of my favorite dishes to get (for any mushroom lovers out there) is the Beef with mushroom and vegetable fried rice!

I strongly recommend Kay's spring garden. The place is very clean the staff are wonderful people, the food is very well prepared and delicious especially the fried food you can tell always the it's been fried in clean oil. By far the best Chinese restaurant on congress Avenue I'v tried every single one on the Avenue and my opinion is Kay's is the best ?.
