A pleasant experience. The place is quiet and the food is worth it. My little boy loved the robotic drink service.

Everyone's nice and food is great. One of my favorite spots but the worker (hispanic male, tattoos) is typing on his phone and serving raw fish. He didn't change his gloves and is still working with the same gloves as I speak!!

SELECTED NO TIP FOR TAKEOUT, STILL GOT CHARGED! I chose no tip on my takeout order, but they still added it to the bill. Completely greedy and gross. Look out for your receipt.

CHARGE TIPS FOR TAKEOUT! Very disappointed they added tip for a takeout order. No explanation, just an extra charge.

This is the third Kura ? location I've visited. I'm making a point of visiting as many as possible around the States as I travel. Obsessed with concept, the food is delicious, the price is mostly right (mine is cheaper), but this location is lacking in every respect. It is a shame that many people get initially introduced to this food chain via Edison, Jersey City locations... I visit my local KRSB at least once a week, like clockwork, crave the food all week, look forward to the culinary adventure

I have been coming here regularly about 10 times now. I find the wait to be fine since you know exactly how long it’ll be (when checking in on the app), I simply plan my time accordingly. I’ve never personally had a time where I was made to wait longer, except maybe to simply wipe down a table for me.

I find the staff to be very pleasant and kind, I do enjoy the greeting upon entering. They are always super quick to help me refill my soy sauce and bring me my hot tea so the robot doesn’t get me scalded and thus fired.

I don’t find the fish to rice ratio to be off, in fact when I just most recently went the fish was sashimi thick. Some like the wagyu are naturally thinner but the fish is always reasonable.

The past 2 or 3 times that I’ve gone, I find that sitting in the single chairs towards the entrance is towards the “end of the line” and I did get increasingly more sad as I patiently waited for a popular item to be replaced (And not taken) but it always was. Kura makes up for this by allowing you to order whatever sushi you want through the screen but sadly then the experience is lost and I might as well order online.

My biggest complaint in coming here has always been, and will forever be, the price. I consistently pay $80 for one person. 15 plates at $4 a plate plus a dessert or two and tip, it is robbery plain and simple. Why do I still come then you may ask? Because I understand you pay mostly for the experience and maybe also a little for the variety. Do I also love sliding my plate down and hearing the “thunk”? Yeah maybe. Do I get a little dopamine rush when I’ve inserted enough plates and out pops a dinky plastic ball with a sticker inside? Okay yeah definitely but it’s different when I’m fully aware of the bait and switch, right? Right??

Anyway, wish this place was cheaper so I could come more than once every three months. Please for the love of all things holy someone see this so I can be my authentic foodie self.

We signed in at the kiosk, and the estimated wait time was 15 minutes. We waited for 20, which is understandable; things happen. However, a group arrived and was seated right away. It felt like the host ignored us and let their friends cut the line.

This place is, ironically, one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve tried in New York! The prices are reasonable, and the taste was truly satisfying! I had tamago, squid, spicy salmon roll, and hand rolls, and overall, the food was fresh. If you want clean, delicious sushi at a good value, I highly recommend it!

I think I’ll be visiting quite often :) I also highly recommend the taiyaki and ice cream for dessert!"

It's an assembly line of just in time prepared sushi. It's better than sushi at the grocery and sushi buffets but definitely not the same as $100+ Omekase. That said, if you're hungry and want quick sushi without the pomp and circumstance, this is it. I've been to several Kura locations in CA, TX and NJ and they're pretty good and consistent. That's what you get. We love the nonstop offerings and teaching hire much you've eaten. Try it!
