Unica Cafe (formly La Unica Bakery and Cafe)

I waited almost 20 minutes just for a butter roll. Someone who ordered after me got their food before I even saw mine. To make it worse, when I was ordering, the lady at the counter actually asked me to grab her a Coke from the fridge because she didn’t want to leave the register. That is beyond outrageous and incredibly unprofessional. The service here is absolutely unacceptable. I will NOT be coming back.

This café was very cute and nice. I went there after seeing good reviews. I ordered green tea and avocado toast. The toast was really tasty and fresh. The place was quiet and comfortable. It’s a good café to have a nice morning breakfast.

We stayed nearby in a AirBnB from Australia. Not to brag, but in Australia we make good coffee. Where as in America, you make absolute swill, sometimes undrinkable muddy water.

So it was a joy to find Unica and taste their coffee and find it just like home. The best coffee we have had in America.

Add into that, they do a good value breakfast. For $7.25 you can customise your roll, by choosing what type of bread, meat, egg style and type of cheese you want into our own perfect breakfast.

If you are in Jersey city, get your butt to Unica.

This place checks all the boxes! We got pancakes, boba and avocado toast. The pancakes were fluffy and the toast was perfectly seasoned. The boba was delivered fast and delicious!
