30 minute wait for empanadas. Not worth it when I can walk a few blocks down to an empanada cart by NJCU

I went to this place three times the first two times to get Sancocho and it tasted really good so much that I wanted to go back again to try their goat plate, chivo. I get this is a lunch plate but they literally gave 4 pieces of fatty goat with bone, barely any meat. Will not be going back.

The food they served was low portions so much rice with one piece of meat. The rice was not fully cooked, I was crunching on rice. I ordered a chicken empanada and it was sour….it went completely bad and it was hard to eat. Nothing was fresh and I had gotten food poisoning the next day…this is ridiculous honestly should just down at this point if you aren’t going to take care of the food you prepare.

I ordered two Chimi’s with fries at this restaurant, mind you that one chimi and fries costs $10. So two should cost $20. When I went up to pay for my order, my total came up to $26.65. I asked the cashier why I’m paying that amount, and she responded to me with attitude and refused to adjust the price to the accurate amount.

Food is decent but very expensive. They charge separate if you get rice and beans on a plate. They charge rice separate and beans separate. I got charge $4 for just beans. Like I said before food is decent but very expensive. I would rather go out to an actual restaurant for the price I paid. Update: I called the restaurant back and spoke to the said owner. I explained to him what I was charged for and due to the fact I wanted my beans on the side instead on top of the rice I was charged extra. I stated to him they should notify the customers of this different price. I then told him I will never go back and just stated 'Okay'. Great customer service. Not!!!

Empanadas are excellent.
Ribs are tender and flavorful.
Portions are a bit small for meat.

Overall the food is delicious. If you're expecting to have a good sancocho you will be disappointed. As for i orders a large and received two small piece of meat. I told them and I was told that it's served like that. Left the place still hungry. Very disappointed to be honest.

Typical Dominican restaurant with plenty of variety of latin food. Excellent food quality and flavor. Staff was attentive and very helpful. The local was very clean and the ambience was nice. For the non positive aspect I would say that a latin music with a little less fast tempo than a Perico Ripia'o could be nice in case that you decide to dine inside and also if the time of preparation in the ordered food could be reduced it would be much appreciated. Overall a nice experience and definitely a good option whenever you want to eat quality latin food.
