Very cute little place. The decoration is beautiful, the ambience is extraordinary and the coffee was good. They sell some nice lil items (bit expensive in my opinion but very cute) Even when you have your coffee in, it's served in a paper cup. I enjoy it better in a ceramic cup but hey this might be an American thing. I think having the coffee in a paper cup changes the taste of the coffee. The 3 girls at the till were super smiley and friendly. Pet friendly also which is a plus ❤️. All in all I totally recommend this place.

They need more seating, but the establishment is very cute! The staff are great, but the food is under seasoned and the coffee left me feeling very dehydrated for some reason. I’m a regular coffee drinker and have not experienced this before when ordering from other places.

Lil dove is a gem in JC! They always have the cutest decor, unique products, and BEST coffee! Sometimes I just come here to decompress from my day and they always are welcoming to everyone including cute dogs. The staff changes sometimes but the owner always makes sure to be hands-on *daily* whether its taking orders or even being in the kitchen. She is the reason this place is consistent and never disappoints. I love this place and reccommend it to anyone living or visiting JC.

This is my go to spot to grab an almond cappuccino. This is the only place in the heights that I get a cappuccino from. I’ve tried the Griot and the coffee shop on Franklin Ave and they are just not for me, this place knows what they are doing. These ladies make great coffee!

What a find. Thanks to my best friends GF, we stopped here to pick up food while traveling back home. Their online ordering is super convenient and breezy. Food was ready under 10 mins and was nicely packed.
My mom loved her spinach and egg sandwich and she was surprised it was not cheesy unlike most other places. Although their bagel and lox became tad more salty, it was fresh and the bagel was a delight. I opted for the everything bagel and maybe that added. Next time I am getting it with the plain/regular bagel to reduce the saltiness.
Lox: was soft and not fully dried which added a creamy texture. Although that meant not all salt came out but it balances the sweet flavor of the spread.

Coming to the cafe, it has limited seating however it’s a cute little place with curated stuff. It’s colorful and is also dog friendly - not just outside but you can take your furry friend inside. A big plus for me.
Ofcourse this will be a go to spot for most breakfast pickups whenever I visit JC Heights.

I'd consider this the best location in the Heights for a good breakfast sandwich. They have many different varieties and use great tasting and healthy bread like sourdough for many of them. The coffee is also good and they have many seasonal specialties that they rotate out. My only complaint is that it can get very hot inside when it's hot outside; not sure if the AC is just not strong enough or if they skimp on it.

Please read carefully. The coffee is good—way better than any place on Central Ave! So why the low rating? I've been here several times, and I am never greeted—just given a blank stare. The first time I went, I thought, "Okay, this person is having an off day. No big deal, we all go through it." I went back a week later: same lady, same treatment. So again, I thought, "She might be an introvert. No big deal, I get it." But the third time I went, it was a different woman with the same attitude.

As I read reviews here, people have mentioned similar experiences happening to them. Some have even hinted that it might be race-motivated, which I would hate to be true because pulling the race card is not something I am fond of. If this is the case, this business is located in the wrong area because Jersey City Heights is very diverse. My theory is a little different from what others speculate. I think these ladies give off more of a feminist vibe. If you have a masculine frame, I guess they see it as toxic. I really don’t know. Also, it seems they are okay if you are part of the LGBT community; so if you are part of this community, feel free to walk in—you will be greeted. Like I said, I go every once in a while because the coffee is good, but I just grab it and go.

Glad to have a good/cute local coffee spot, it definitely gives gentrification and caters to “that” audience but you can’t deny the food and coffee is great and decently priced
