I really wanted to love this place. My Man took my here as an early bday celebration ? just us two. While we did order several appetizers the only one we were sold on were the Deviled Eggs and the bone marrow. After we placed our order for drinks and food our server never came back to ask us if we needed a refill on our cocktails or sparkling water. I had one espresso martini the entire time we were there for dinner. The scallops I order for dinner was okay but the curry over power the entire plate. Let's not included the other server that tried to refill our half filled cups of sparkling water with tap water. Our table was cleared out after dinner and we sat there for awhile for the desert menu it wasn't till I raised my hand to get our waiter attention that he finally returned to our table. We then proceeded to order desert the strawberry mint creme Brulee and was not expecting chocolate pudding underneath the harden sugar. Highly disappointed wish I could say I would be returning but highly doubt it as we drove almost an hour to get there.

The food was really good and so fresh and hot upon service. We order escargot (my first time) the romaine salad, the Parmesan gourges for apps and the short rib gnocchi and fluke as mains. Everything was delish. The ambience was great I just wish the music weren't as loud.

Great experience overall! The staff really made it memorable, and the food was outstanding and well executed. This is a fantastic addition; Jersey City definitely needed it. Highly recommend checking it out!

We visited for drinks and an appetizer before dinner. The drinks and ambiance were wonderful, and the staff was friendly and kind. However, we were disappointed to find a $6 fee added to our bill without explanation. When we inquired, we were told it was a "spirit fee" for ordering a cocktail. This fee was not mentioned on the menu or online.As frequent diners in the area, we've never encountered such a fee before and find it misleading to charge extra for a cocktail listed at $13. It would be more transparent to include this fee in the menu price. While we may consider returning for dinner, we'll do so cautiously, aware of potential hidden fees.

I greatly enjoyed the dinner experience at Madame and plan to return to try the rest of the menu. Chicken cordon bleu is a classic dish that is hard to find - Madame does an excellent version! I intentionally saved a portion to enjoy at home. The dinner service staff were attentive and well coordinated. Happy to have another great option so close!

Whenever I'm in town I really look forward to dinner here. The service isn't always perfect, but the staff is super friendly, the ambiance and decor are lovely and trendy, and the food is always authentic, creative, & delightful. I couldn't recommend the place more. I don't understand how they're not packed to the gills every night of the week.

Great experience at Madame for dinner with another couple. Martin on the staff was exceptionally good, very attentive and incredibly cordial. Every course was delicious. Although, the chocolate creme brulee made for a great finish to the meal.

Omg what horrible music, I would love to give this place a 5 but I was not expecting house music to be blasting at a nice little French restaurant. This place used to be the most romantic spot in Jersey City and they’re still so close but early 2000s house music is the wrong choice, especially when everything else is so great! Instead of the bougie/romantic atmosphere I loved, it now just feels like another boring lounge/club…Anyway food is incredible
If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. I came here with my husband and I felt so violated by this man with glasses and a black suit. I’m guessing he’s a manager of some sort? But he was staring at me weird and making inappropriate comments about my appearance. Breaking his neck while I left the establishment in front of my husband! Service wasn’t great, servers seem like they hate their jobs. The vibes feel extremely forced and the music was putting me to sleep. Food was good.

This is a wonderful spot in JC. Drinks are very well crafted and food is delicious. Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail, mussels, escargot and all of the deserts. Never a bad time at Madame! Special thanks to Jovan and Orlando behind the bar. They are knowledgeable, kind and very friendly. I will certainly be back!

Wow! Had an incredible dinner here tonight! Chicken cordon blue was to die for. Steak tar tar was so fresh and melted in my mouth. Drinks , desserts and staff were all amazing!! Can't wait to go back!

My people - great experience all around. Jovan and Orlando are amazing at the bar. Melanie the manager catered to everything we needed, even when we were being annoying. I had the pleasure of meeting the Chef Sadie. She blew us away with every course, which were all unique dishes that were unexpected from first to last. If you are remotely contrarian I would highly suggest stopping by for something that you haven't experienced before!
