My first visit to Maman in Jersery City was exceptional. The Thursday crew was great and the cafe is a vibe.I highly recommend the Katie sandwich. I thought I would save the other half for later but it was way too good. ?I will definitely be back.

They messed up our order and didn’t give my wife her sandwich. They put food on the table for me and two kids, wife just staring at the empty table in front of her. They served at least three of the same breakfast sandwich right past her to other customers before they made her sandwich. Also, don’t serve toast with butter straight out of the fridge. By the time the butter thawed out the toast was cold.

ok Maman has the best lavender latte around, hands down.... BUT this location makes spending an afternoon enjoying it in their cafe difficult to impossible if you want to get work done. Read a book? Fine. But this is a LAPTOP FREE CAFE. Once when I visited I was told it was fine and that rule 'only applied on Saturdays,' but another time my partner and I were very directly told we needed to put our computers away by a barista, and it felt uncomfortable after we had lugged our work with us. Saturdays are typically jam packed. Food is just so/so. Interior is dimly lit and shabby. Get a coffee and have a chat with friends or get it to go and look out at the water.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp inside

Gles is the best! An absolute gem of a guy who works here. The rest of the staff are delightful and I look forward to coffee dates here with my partner. We walk an extra 20mins out of the way just to make it to a maman. The pastries are better than any other. My recommendation almond croissants. Cookies and orange cakes all can’t go wrong with!

Just went here for the first time, I had the turkey cheddar Dijon roll and the almond chocolate loaf…and holy shiz. Both were tremendous, the coffee was delicious and the staff was incredibly kind. Gles stopped by just to chat with us and ask how everything was, and made us feel extra welcome. It was worth the walk through the Saturday rain, I’ll be back!
