Kodi vepudu was delicious too.

Do go to this restaurant for a good chettinad cuisine.. when you’re in journal Square in Indian Street. You will see multiple different restaurants within a span of hundred meters… and I’m sure you’ll be confused where to eat.. if you’re craving for a good south Indian spicy food food I strongly suggest this restaurant.. it’s also BYOB.. fantastic service.. the biggest headache is parking.. It’s hard to get street parking and I had to pay about $12 for the parking… if not for the parking this restaurant has only positives . I also had food in their Edison branch.
We ordered chicken Chuka and it was really peppery and good.. perfect South Indian aRoma and taste.. my friend had fish fry and he just loved it.. there were five or six small pieces of the fry.. I still think it’s slightly expensive about $20-$22 for the fish and generally all of the dishes.. the best one was dindukal thalapakatti biryani . Nice and very tasty . Good experience overall. Wanted to give a 4 star but gave a 5 star just for the taste and service !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Opinions changed after couple of years, ordered king fish fry that is $22 and no way that is king fish and they gave me just one half of the fish while the telephone operator promised it was one full piece. OFCOURSE the FISH is OLD (attached images). What a money grab. I hope Royapettah Shardul/Shahul comes and takes over the management.
Best tamil food in the NYC/NJ/CT Tristan’s area. Tasty and affordable food with Kalim and Shahul helping us explore our fav food. The ambience is filled with Vadivel meme references and the staff are very helpful. They have a party table for 8-10 people to host small tamil meetups. Try their Dosa Chicken curry and thank me later. This restaurant is by the Tamils for the Tamils.
