My mom bought me buko pandan from there with her to go order. The second I opened it , it basically exploded all over. They need to use better to go containers because this made such a mess. Not happy

I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE waited for a pickup order for almost an hour. The person that waited on me, Dana, was the worst in customer service. The text I received stated that my order would be ready at 626pm which I told her and her response was "oh we are still waiting for food and as you can see, we are busy!" SMH. Then I asked another person that worked, I thought he was the manager as he telling employees what to do. I asked him about my order, spoke little English, but when I was showing him the txt about my order, he brushed me off. Then finally spoke to a supervisor around 7pm and said he will check. Came back from the kitchen and told me they are bagging it up. 15 minutes later nothing. I joked with another customer sitting next to me as he was there, also waiting for his order, when I spoke to the supervisor and said "didn't he say they were bagging it?" He laughed. That guy even asked someone what's going on with his order. All I can say is customer service isn't how it used to be. Not even an apology for the long wait. Dana if you are reading this as I said walking out, "I'll be reviewing you about your customer service skills and have a good evening", this it it. Hope you getting better in helping customers because you wouldn't want to be treated the way I was.

We came here for dinner on February 14th at 8:30 PM while visiting from Canada. Before arriving, we called to confirm the closing time and were told they close at 9 PM and that we could come in as late as 9. When we called again to make a reservation for 8:30 PM, the person who answered seemed hesitant and annoyed, saying, “But we close at 9.” We had to explain that we were just told otherwise by someone else. The staff should be more consistent with their communication to avoid confusion.
When we arrived, a staff member immediately told us, “You better hurry because we’re closing.” That was unwelcoming, especially since they had already accepted our reservation. While we were checking the menu, our server kept interrupting with recommendations, making it difficult to focus. We appreciate suggestions, but there’s a way to do it without being pushy.
Additionally, we overheard another staff member loudly saying things like, “I’m not cooking any more food” and “I just washed the dishes.” It was clear this was meant for us to hear, which was unprofessional and unnecessary. To make matters worse, another employee scolded our child for touching the glass when she wasn’t causing any damage. I get that they’re closing and have their duties to finish, but they shouldn’t forget that we’re still customers. There’s no need to scold us for smudging the glass—wait until we leave, then handle your closing tasks. Sorry, not sorry.
Overall, the experience felt rushed and unwelcoming. The staff seemed irritated and uninterested in providing good service. Management should consider hiring employees who actually enjoy their job and treat customers with respect.

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR DELIVERIES!
I placed an order for delivery on Thanksgiving and only received half my order. I immediately called the restaurant and they assured me that I would get a refund for the portion of the order I did not receive. Long story short, after calling the restaurant 4 times within a span of a week, I was not able to get a refund nor speak to the manager directly. Anytime I had asked to speak to the manager, multiple workers stated that she was not in and refused to let me speak with her directly or give me a phone number to contact her to resolve the issue.
Nonetheless I was very disappointed with how the restaurant handled this situation and will no longer be placing orders for deliveries.

Horrible!! Not only made mi wait for over 35 minutes for A simple Lumpia Shanghai and a Halo Halo… but didn’t include a sauce and service is sooooo slow. Train your people to explain the wait time in order for clients to understand reasons of the wait.

We got Chicharron and lumpia shanghai for appetizer. The lumpia was delicious. And we had palabok, pinakbet, chicken adobo for main. Adobo was more vinegary which I like. I enjoyed palabok a lot. I'd like to try halo halo next time. Saturday lunch time we had to wait a bit.

This place is a hidden gem for me. I passed this area all the time and tonight made me happy that we found this. Teejay and his staff are phenomenal. The recommendation we found online definitely hit the spot. I don't know i didn't notice this place before. But coming back forever. We are about to be friends.

Overall food was great! It’s awesome to bring non-Filipinos here and give them a tour of the culture through food. Masarap!

Recommended dishes: Halo-Halo with Ube Ice Cream, Filipino Pork BBQ Skewers, Max's Fried Chicken, Daing Na Bangus Boneless Marinated Milkfish, Kare-Kare Beef Peanut Stew, Max's Bulalo Beef Shank Broth, Chicken Chicharon Crispy Chicken Skin
I ordered the Max's anniversary bundle worth $72.00 + tax + tip totaling to almost $80.00. It's just sad that Kare-kare was too salty, 5 pcs of beef, 1 medium length string beans. Kare-kare lacked eggplants, bokchoy, tripe. They changed the way they fried the "famous Max's friend chicken" it was too oily & tasted like brine, we Filipinos don't brine our fried chicken. Crispy pata was thankfully not salty, the pancit canton was thankfully close enough to the one you can get from Philippines. Lastly, I didn't even give a review on previous order pertaining to the Chopsuey I ordered which was mediocre at best. The Chopsuey they gave me at that time had reddish color when of course Chopsuey has white color in it with tons of veggies & meat & seafood. That Chopsuey had limpy veggies & tasted like Chinese Food more so than Filipino food, I would rather eat FILIPINO FOOD THAN CHINESE FOOD so I was livid when I was given Chopsuey that didn't taste like Filipino Chopsuey. Additionally, I requested to be given a courtesy side dish of tomatoes that would go well with Crispy Pata the young adult who answered the phone said it can only be done if I dine in...what's the diff? I mean I paid more than what people would probably order if they dine in. Just because I opted for a take out, you can't give me slices of tomatoes after investing $80 in your restaurant? It's not the kid's fault she was just relaying orders but the management has to change the way they keep customers esp. customers that would drop $80.00 in one take out. A lot of people right now don't even wanna eat out because of the economic landscape we're in...at least make me feel like you value me by giving 4-5 slices of tomatoes, this wouldn't hurt your business if you do so , right?
