We come here at least once a week! The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are 10/10. The happy hour is very affordable too.

I'm leaving 4 stars for the manager of this location; I ordered the fish tacos this evening, I didn't check my order until I got home and I was very dissatisfied with it. I called and made a complaint about my order, the manager was very respectful, he listened, apologized & offered me a refund, and for that I will give this location another try.
We stopped by completely on a whim, and wow—so glad we did. The brisket flautas were absolutely delicious: crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. But the real standout? The fried calamari. Light, crispy, and served with a variety of sauces that took it to the next level—it ended up being our favorite dish of the night. Huge shoutout to our awesome server, Kenny, who made the experience even better with great recommendations and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an excellent experience tonight thanks to Kenny and Cynthia. The service was amazing, and the place is very cozy and welcoming. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for good music, a nice atmosphere for conversation, and delicious food. My friend and I will definitely be coming back! ✨

Never a dull moment. The staff is beyond friendly and engaging. I tend to go for alone time and it’s still a party vibe. The delicious food and drinks are endless.

Stumbled by them two weeks ago as we’ve passed and never stopped in. Wow! The food is really good and the sangria is amazing! We’ve been twice over two weeks. The great part is that they stay open late too! Love it!!

Mezcal Kitchen is super close to the Journal Square PATH station, which makes it very easy to get to. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offer happy hour on Saturdays and Sundays as well (I believe from 5 PM to 9 PM), which is a huge plus. The happy hour drinks menu is extensive with plenty of options to choose from. I tried the margaritas, there are about five flavors for just $7, and if you want a bigger size, it’s $11, which is a great deal. My friend ordered a Paloma and it was amazing too.
We went on a Saturday and made full use of the happy hour menu. We ordered mostly vegetarian food, including nachos and a quesadilla. The food was decent, but the drinks were definitely the highlight. What really stood out to me was the service the person who served us (don’t remember the name sorry) was extremely nice, friendly, and sweet.
They have happy hour all five days of the week, along with happy hour taco options, and the menu is huge with lots to explore. Overall, great drinks, great vibes, and great service. I’m definitely going back.

Usually come here for happy hour after work, food isn’t the best Mexican food, as a Mexican I know my food. I usually went there for apps and drinks. The so called manager that day “Cynthia”( not sure if that’s her name) isn’t the most social person since we arrived was very straight to the point person, didn’t conversate or interact, she barely even looked at us when speaking to her. She was counting the drinks we had and she didn’t tell us when happy hour was almost over, and on top of that she decided when it was enough drinks, claiming she wouldn’t serve more drinks if the water wasn’t finished. No one was drunk and it was our usual after work place, it won’t be anymore, shes completely rude and not social or cordial with customers. They should educate there managers and servers on how to attend to customer needs.
