The Midnight Cocoa is fun but chalky, but that Lemon Olive Oil--citrus paradise. I'd brave hurricane gales for another scoop of that!

So I have a couple of thoughts, and they may not be popular. Haven’t been here before but thought I’d give it a try. The line was down the block and once I got to the front I realized why. There was one person working there, and the shop isn’t big enough to hold more than 3 customers. Their to-go window was for takeout orders only, not sure why they didn’t take orders there too to get people moving. They really should have a whiteboard with the flavors outside so people can think about what they want before they go inside and have to ask about each flavor, on top of the fact they aren’t giving any samples out. I got one scoop of chocolate and one of their malt (their best seller) and both were solid flavors. Scoops were extremely small though, I ordered a small in a waffle cone and sprinkles, came to $9, so overpriced in my opinion. I was intrigued by their ice cream sandwiches on chocolate chip cookies but they cookies weren’t warm… I may be particular but give the people what they want. I can’t confidently say I’ll be back.

This place is garbage now. They will only serve one group at a time and have 2 people working. One stands there and looks and the other takes an order. The flavored ice cream taste chalky. Like there is powder flavor in the ice cream. The scoops are small and this place is over rated for price.

This is a good neighborhood ice cream shop with a bunch of unique flavors. I went with honey lavender and an almond ice cream with caramel swirls. The ice creams were way sweet for my palate but I did enjoy the flavors. Unfortunately they are not giving out samples. The pint collection has some unique flavors too and I saw a number of walk-ins just going for the pint.

This is an ice cream shop that does not compromise on quality. Everything is made in-house, from scratch. If you appreciate owner-operated businesses that truly care and you love ice cream, then this is the spot for you.

I'm not a huge ice cream person in general, but I LOVED this place. I'd consider myself to be a "foodie", so if you have a discerning palate, this place is a must try! It will not dissapoint.

This establishment fell off. The serving size (short of one scoop) and charging $5. Then $2 for sprinkles. Outrageous!Won’t bring my child here again. I’m saving for summer camp!

Tl;dr: Hi Jeska, you're the best. It's good ice cream with funky flavors but jeez is it expensive. The malted cookie dough ice cream is the stuff from which dreams are made. The service is fucking IMPECCABLE. Namely, I just love Jeska--super hospitable and really nice. I've brought my whole family and she accommodated everyone extremely well. Whoever signs her checks, if you're reading: Give her a raise. The place itself is rather small and you have to wait outside. It's like the world's bougiest, most instagrammable hole-in-the-wall. I must not go at super busy times because I've never had to wait longer than like ten minutes. Look, I'll level with you: It's expensive. I find it to be worth it, as an occasional treat--even my friend who normally hates ice cream likes their stuff. If it's worth it is up to you, but I say if you have the money, it's a better deal than buying a cocktail downtown and is certainly less work on your liver.

Everything here is made with so much care and love and attention to detail. The ice cream flavors are unique and delicious. You can tell everything is made from scratch and with quality ingredients. There aren’t too many true ice cream shops like this anymore, you can tell how much love goes into it. The macarons are simply to die for! I would definitely recommend if you are looking for outstanding ice cream and deserts.

The best ice cream I have ever had!! Always different flavors! I always go thinking I know what I'll get and then there's a new flavor I just have to try!! The staff is wonderful and always so polite!

Ice cream isn’t half bad, but it’s ridiculously overpriced (7$ for a small). I could get over that but the staff is so beyond rude as many others have said. My recommendation in jersey city for better ice cream at a better price with nice staff:

Downgrading my previous 5 star review down. I'm so disappointed how bad MSL has become. We've been life long customers, we've supported Ema for over a decade... Today the "nice" lady at the counter decided she should take a phone call while we were the only customers. Then she weighed out a single scoop! And charged me $6.66 ($2 for sprinkles!)I couldn't say no to my kid, but I'm not coming back.Extremely disappointed, I imagine costs have gone up a lot, but nickel and diming your most loyal customers is just bad business.
