What a horrible dining experience. Got a To Go meal. The woman was utterly rude! I was almost just going to walk away, but read the reviews and figured the food was good... mistake! The food is out in a buffet style service. When I started eating, the rice was mostly HARD!!! The chicken was definitely NOT fresh. Gosh, bad food + bad service.

Being from Paterson, it’s very easy for me to tell if a Dominican food joint is authentic. This place is definitely authentic Dominican food. Love their res guisada. I make sure to order from here from my job at least once or twice a week as I work in an adjacent office. The owner is very nice. Great find in Journal Square.

I've tried many Dominican places in the area and have always been disappointed. Mister Gusto is the only one I've found that's actually worth while. My only complaint is I wish they had stewed pork, not just shoulder. But everything I did get was delicious. They're definitely worth a visit.

Fast and delicious Dominican ?? meals, the beef stew was particularly tender and flavorful. Excellent place for a fast wholesome meal on the way to or from Journal Square and the woman who runs the place is very kind and helpful.
Hard rice,dry chicken it’s like I’m eating last weeks food. But there is flavor to the rice and chicken,them just hard and dry.
