Stopped by for a few pastries. Some tasted really sweet. But the cannoli. OMG the shells were really hard and tasted old.Won't be back anytime soon.

Very rude people working there. They are not polite, telling first one price then another. I asked about a cake for my 1 year old baby plain, no signs, no decorations, and they could not even do this. He told me to call me back to confirm the price ( which was gradually growing) and never called back. Unprofessional. Not recommend it.

I got my wife’s cake from her favorite bakery..Got her fav items from her special… whipped cream strawberries & a custard cake.. Also a box of delicious cannolis.Never a disappointment with Monteleone’s Bakery.

Monteleon's has decreased in quality and its sad since I have gone here since a child. It looks sad inside widows look foggy, the young kids working there look miserable and it looks like it's going out of business, no bags even if you have multiple boxes. Other same type of businesses are still giving bags to the customers. I still only go for the Ice Box Cookies but even these classic cookies have decreased in quality. They don't even decorate there window anymore. Sad to see a well known establishment look like its going out of business.

Monteleone's has been around since I was a kid. I am in my 70's. Of all the bakeries in this area, when my office ordered cakes, we always ordered from Monteleone's. The holidays have just passed and one of the gifts I give, which recipients most look forward to receiving, is a box of assorted miniatures (miniature versions of Italian pastries; i.e. sfogliatella, connoli, etc). Buddy from Carlos may be on TV but he does not hold a candle to Monteleone's. All their goodies, cookies, cakes, pastries, are the best. Try the Lobster Tails - one step from heaven! Someone described the location as "on the main drag". I think it is a little out of the way but definitely worth the trouble. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I would put this place against any bakery in the New York Metro area. It is that good.

Absolutely the best cake I've had in years amazing can't wait to place an order. My goddaughter and her boyfriend ordered a cake from here for my mom's 85th birthday and it was out of this world. Thank you so much for this amazing cake.

The very best especially the cheesecake.Been going there many years,I'm 63 now and the memories sleeping by grandmas and getting pastries the next day and then going to pecararos for hot bread are so heartwarming to me.Neighborhood has changed but these staples have not.Must try,you will not be dissapointed!

Still great! Their coffee cake is the best anywhere. Pastries are fresh and sweet. Get coffee cake early in the day it sells out. Prices are still a great value and such friendly service.

I am giving them 1 star because they did not give me the correct amount on my order. I did not have time to check it due to traffic and limited parking

This place has to be the best bakery in NJ for rum cakes & pasticiottis. My mom got her wedding cake here, and we continue to get our cakes from this lovely bakery. I hope they continue to be a staple in the community for years to come. Just to share, they are cash only! :)

This is a unique institution in the Carrol Gardenia universe. Here diabetes does not exist. Nothing is too sweet. This is the enciclopedia of Neapolitan pastry, the Vatican of mazapán. All the rich cultures that were once part of Southern Italy left their mark here. The Islamic traditions of honey and almond based pastries. The lemon merengues, the Spanish mazapanes. The Neapolitan grain pie... My favorite is the pearl pie. The space could not have more character. This is a family business and if you are lucky you'll get to see three generations morning hand by hand. Don't miss this one.

Bakery filled with delicious and affordable desserts. Their cheesecake is surprisingly light (and delicious). Some desserts like the cupcakes are a bit too sweet for my liking, but there a variety of things to choice from.
