This is one of my go-to lunch spots. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is fast and efficient—perfect when you need to get back to work quickly. They’re also incredibly accommodating with dietary needs, which I really appreciate. Despite the quick service, they never make you feel rushed. Highly recommend!

Unwelcoming and stereotyped us

Our experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing. As soon as we walked in, the hostess looked at us and, without even greeting us or offering a menu, immediately said “This is not a vegetarian place”—loudly, in front of other diners. We hadn’t even sat down or said a word about dietary preferences. It was a clear instance of stereotyping, and it was humiliating.

Despite the awkwardness, we chose to stay and were surprised to find a full section of vegetarian options on the menu—completely contradicting what she had told us. Unfortunately, the staff’s behavior continued to feel cold and unwelcoming. At one point, my girlfriend was spoken to quite rudely.

The overall atmosphere made us uncomfortable. We had already ordered, but sitting there didn’t feel right, so we asked to change our order to takeout. We couldn’t enjoy even a bite in peace.

All this in the city known for its diversity and inclusivity extremely disappointing

Food is still good but they no longer allow customers to bring in a bottle of wine and they don't serve adult beverages.

We had such a great experience at More Express on Grove Street! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious — the salmon don, fried shrimp, and drunken noodles were all packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The Thai tea was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet.

To top it off, the owner surprised us with a complimentary red bean soup for dessert, which was such a kind and thoughtful touch — and so good! You can really feel the care they put into both their food and their hospitality. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Delicious Malaysian Food in Jersey city!

The Hainan chicken was amazing—authentic and nostalgic. The Bak Kut Teh was a perfect winter dish, sweet, savory, and warming. I also loved the flavorful scrambled eggs served with the prawns.

The Thai milk tea was refreshingly not too sweet, and the crispy Godzilla roll sushi was a nice surprise. Overall, the Hainan chicken, Bak Kut Teh, and Thai tea are must-tries. Great spot with an authentic vibe!

Just moved to this neighborhood and it was my first time eating here. I had the most amazing Hainanese chicken - it was super tender and savory. The curry beef was also well-balanced with spices - very satisfying. Love this place and will definitely visit again!
