I ordered my daughter’s first birthday cake from this place, and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious. I also love visiting for their desserts—their custard cups are a must-try! The quality is always top-notch, the prices are very affordable, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Amazing Bakery with great sandwiches 🥪

However, it's worth noting that the wait time can sometimes be quite lengthy, which might test your patience if you’re in a hurry. They seem to struggle with a first-come, first-served system, as it's not consistently practiced, leading to some confusion among customers. Additionally, their selection of baked goods can be a bit hit or miss; on certain days, the variety available feels quite limited, which can be disappointing if you’re craving something specific. Overall, while the bakery has its merits, there are definitely areas that could benefit from improvement.

Let me start by saying this place should be 5 stars. The food is amazing! Most of the time we are served and there are no issues. Today 1-13-2025 ordered 4 sandwiches, nothing out of the ordinary. My husband and mother went to pick the order up and they hadn’t started making the sandwiches until they got there. My mother has never had her order missed. Unfortunately today they dropped the ball. The girl with multi-colored hair was too busy paying attention to my husband to get any part of the order right. We ended up with sandwiches we could have made at home. That is very disappointing because this place has been somewhere I have come to for more than 30 years. It is a shame that someone can’t put their personal feelings aside and make a simple order. I will now have to go in with him every time to make sure we never have her take our order. We ordered sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard. We did not get what we ordered.

I have to say, that I have never seen an establishment more dedicated to customer service, than this place. Since my last review, I have noticed the change in service and I always receive exactly what I ask for. Thank you so much for listening and thank you for always providing an amazing start to my day every morning!

When I lived up the street, I would come here every morning for a quick breakfast and coffee! The pastries are so delicious and the staff were always so kind- especially the young man! I truly enjoyed going there every morning! We need more Mom & Pop/ family-owned businesses because there is just a certain feel and taste when you get products from places like this! I’ll always recommend!

Ordered via UBER Eats: Bad Mistake choosing Neptune , Not UBER Eats. Two whole Tuna subs and Two whole Turkey & Swiss had NO Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion. No Oil and Vinegar as stated as their default dressing. Dry Sandwiches. we ended up eat 1/4 and threw the rest in trash. The Hot Pastrami was delicious. I paid $93.00(sandwiches, tax, Uber tip, Fees)...Never Again

Hometown favorite Neptune Bakery & Deli has been a staple in Jersey a while now. There is not one custard cake I’ll exchange theirs for someone else’s. Truly delicious! ??
However, like everywhere else prices have gone up now $18.65/dozen. Still worth it IMO! ??
