Pretty Good, located right off a main highway. I stop by anytime I’m in NJ, close to the Hotel in Newark. First time, I stopped in the Owner was there and had GREAT conversation, service and customer service and gave me a military discount. The second time I stopped in, owner was not there and the service wasn’t as pleasant. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the same. The Caucasian clerk told me I couldn’t get a military discount because he’s not the owner. Then proceeded to talk about Burger King and other fast food chains not giving discounts. The food didn’t taste as good the second time probably because the experience was icky.

Italian cheese burger, is the best apart from fried chicken items everything. Feeding the masses with smile and genuine humility staff.

The bold headed guy at the front is very mean and disrespectful to the clients and the guy that work inside. However own that place you need to have a talk with him. This is a business and he always have a nasty attitude.

“I had a terrible experience at this restaurant (New York Fried Chicken). The staff behind the counter were incredibly rude and discriminatory toward Spanish-Speaking Customers. They assured that anyone speaking Spanish didn’t understand English and treated them with disrespect and condescension. It’s unacceptable and disappointing to see such behavior in this day and age. If you value being treated with dignity and respect, I suggest you avoid this place.”

This place is the best in the area for fried chicken. I placed 3 stars on the atmosphere only because they are very busy and always full of people, so eating there is very possible, but you have people standing around waiting for their orders. you could have someone standing literally next to your table, no problems let me make that clear, just I personally can't eat with a person standing there staring at the food I am eating literally drooling cause they are hungry too?.I also would like to mention, ignore all the one-star reviews, please. I have interacted with all the staff, and believe me when I say they are people like you and me. They have bad days, too. Most of the customers I have witnessed come in with attitude and then blame the staff on the energy they give back to these rude customers. People are entitled. This place IS EXTREMELY busy, and they do a great job attempting to please each customer as best as possible. If you come in acting like an a$$hole, you will be treated like an a$$hole. You want to be treated correct? show up correct.This place is a must.

OK, so I am writing this because I purchased food last 03/21/24. The food was good, I also ordered sweet potato pies and peach cobbler. I open my sweet potato pie the next 03/22/24. They were in the fridge. When I opened them, it was black stuff on the top and white stuff on the top of the other one. I did call the store to let them know. They should check their sweet potato pies, and the gentleman on the phone said that they do not make the pies they order with them already made in the package. But they may be holding them in the store too long. I'm sharing to future customers, check your food, and smell it.

This is unnecessarily expensive fast food restaurant. The staff is rude and disrespectful. Moreover, the chicken i bought was not fresh, it had foul smell and taste.
