Every dish on the menu is absolutely amazing! The flavors are perfectly balanced, the presentation is beautiful, and the food is cooked to perfection. To top it off, the owner, chef, and staff are warm, welcoming, and make you feel like you're dining at home.

James and Ruby are running a treasure! The ingredients are fresh and what is in season. The fusion of flavors are amazing. Its not your traditional Pinoy fare. It's an upgrade you should not miss. The plating is as appealing as the flavors. And the space.... its like having your dinner party in your "imaginary hip loft." did I mention there is free parking....?

The food is excellent and creative — truly a standout. The smell can be a bit too heavy on the fried side, but the service is warm and attentive. The location is unexpected — tucked inside a condo building café — but that's part of its charm. You wouldn't expect to find such great food there. A real hidden gem.

Chef Ruby and Next Door Provisions continues to hit all the culinary marks - for presentation, for flavor, and for the skillful balance of the familiar and novel that only someone with genuine mastery can conjure. You get so much value for your money. My 2 sisters and I shared the Blistered Asparagus, Chicken "Dry" Pho, NY Strip Salpicao, Kare Kare Mafaldini, Pork Belly Adobo with some Mango Guava juice. It was a mix of favorite dishes we tried during our first visit and new menu items that we would gladly order again. We've had the Kare Kare Mafaldini and Port Belly Adobo before, and I can report that the quality flavor and presentation remains consistently good.

Great atmosphere with great hospitality. One thing I look for in an establishment is how knowledgeable they are with the food they serve. Tasty dishes and generous portions. Adobo is a must try along with the squid ink palabok and Kare-Kare marlin. This is not your traditional Filipino comfort food (which is near and dear my heart), but Chef Ruby did an amazing job with her interpretation of how great Filipino dishes can be. Make sure to try the bibingka pancake too!

Small menu but that's the beauty of it all! The server (husband of the chef) helped us pick out the right dishes. He was also very sweet and personable. Every dish seemed like it had the chef's own twist to it meaning it wasn't too traditional but every bite had so much complexity in flavors. Chef also is an amazing baker, ended up getting all three desserts they had that day! Definitely check this spot out.

Each meal I’ve had to date at Next Door Provisions has been consistently wonderful, and the casual and chic decor there (bonus points if you’re a plant or comic nerd!) married with friendly and efficient service always bring me, my family, and friends back again and again. We’ve celebrated many birthdays, reunions, and last-minute meetups at NDP, and I have never been disappointed by the food or the service. This is likely one of Jersey City’s best-kept secrets, and can rival any Michelin-starred or trendy restaurant across the Hudson. In a way, I’m glad NDP is still pretty low-key neighborhood food purveyor, but would be more than happy to see them really blow up and get the recognition and following that the extraordinary Chef Ruby deserves. Five stars, ten snaps, and five forks from me and my crew!

Outstanding food & service. Highly recommend salad, Kare Kare Malfadine and Mushroom Tagliatelle.

Everything about this place was amazing. It's a must try for anyone. And likely a must return once you have been. Every dish was unique and delicious. The desserts were incredible. The chef and her husband made us feel like family.

Photo does not do this sandwich justice. The flavors were incredible. This is an absolute hidden gem and one of the best places I’ve stumbled upon while traveling. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. He recommended this sandwich and it could not have been better. Wish I could give more stars.

Best Filipino food I’ve had in New Jersey (and I’m Filipino)! The dishes are elevated but still tastes and smells like your mom’s kitchen. James and Ruby are wonderful. Highly recommend!

Saw their oyster po boy on their Instagram post. I wanted to eat the picture so I had to have it. That first bite felt like my first kiss. Exhilarating!

Chef Ruby's creations surprise and never disappoint. She takes comfort food favorites to another level. Host VJay & the staff are always very attentive. They remember you if you come daily or intermittently as long time friends. Can't say enough about the food and hospitality.
