Excellent breakfast wrap, nice drip coffee but a bit on the (very) weak side. Chilled ambiance so overall this is a good local.

You can judge a good cafe on their matcha and OKafé checks all the boxes. Staff is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is amazing. Hope to visit again soon :)

Update: let’s just say the coffee was… an acquired taste. One I’m not acquiring😬
The Aaron Burr was excellent. Make sure to specify how you want egg cooked because the automatic I over easy if I remember but I always get mine scrambled and it taste so good. The brisket and breakfast combination is out of this world.

Open layout and decent prices. Staff attitude varies—Andrew with the dreads and the tall guy with glasses can be hit or miss (they probably need a vacation). Great spot by the park; curious how it’ll hold up with the new trendy competition down the road.
The owner should learn to value his customers input rather than be dismissive and defensive when criticism is made towards the establishment

LOVE OKAFE. lived downtown for 2 years and went there every 3+x /week. I still stop by when I'm in the area. everyone who works there is so nice and the food is always consistently good. my only complaint is that they run out of my favorites if I don't get there early enough. love that in a dog friendly neighborhood right next to the park, they are accommodating and let people grab their food and go. only bad part is all the loud slimy kids and strollers but that's just the neighborhood - so many schools.

Update to my previous comment:
The café has hit a new low by responding to my review with blatant lies. I’m honestly shocked. They never check anything! There are never any service animals there - people just walk in straight from the park with their dogs. We used to visit this café often, and I’m appalled by how shamelessly they lied. It’s even more off-putting now. I’ve been there dozens of times and not once have I seen them ask whether a dog is a service animal. Absolutely disgusting to get a lies as an answer.
This place is always swarming with dogs. They’ve put up a sign on the wall claiming dogs aren’t allowed according to the law -
clearly just for show. I’ve never seen so many dogs in any other café. It’s honestly disgusting. My children have allergies to pet dander, and I can’t even stop by for a simple coffee while walking in the park. Let alone eat there. The food is prepared with an open kitchen wall, so all the hair and allergens are floating through the air and landing right on your food. Yum.

Got a matcha here last week. Absolutely disgusting. Not even like it wasn’t good quality, it was literally nasty. Almost like the matcha or something in it went bad. Service was nice but tasted so bad. Should be an excellent matcha if I’m paying $8.

O Kafe is where I like to get breakfast on weekends in Jersey City. I often order their açai bowl, which tastes good, and their coffee is satisfying. It's a place I return to regularly for a pleasant start to my weekend mornings.

Yummy drinks! The real treat here is that their bathroom has a changing table, which is very thoughtful bc despite being strapped for space, they know their clientele.

Really enjoyed my visit to O’Kafe! Tucked into a little square, it’s a unique and cozy spot with a super chill atmosphere. What really made it stand out was the crew—genuinely warm and welcoming, which gave the whole place great energy.
They’ve got tons of drink options, and I went with the Crème Brûlée Latte with almond milk. It was smooth, not overly sweet, and the 3 shots of espresso definitely hit the mark—especially at $6.75, which is a steal.
Definitely a place to hang out, relax, or get some work done. I’ll absolutely be back!
