2 really bad experiences here and I won’t return. Bad service, out of products, and the food is about as mid as you can get. I def won’t ever go back. The loud terrible music really was the worst of it all tho.

The atmosphere is great, food isn't bad, can't complain. The only thing that's not too great is the service. Service is pretty good, but you do have a couple of the women waitresses there that have an attitude problem. Especially if you're a woman going there. Wife had a deal with a couple of waitresses with a nasty attitude, For no apparent reason. If you're a woman you understand where I'm coming from. Women get those vibes. When one woman meets another woman. This is what I'm talking about other than that. Great place to hang out, eat pizza. Party with your friends. Don't let the.Waitress issue, stop you from going there. Check it out yourself. You never know you might get a good waitress. There's some good ones there as well. Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. You could also book it for parties. They have a rooftop bar.. If it's the one thing I could give 5 stars to this place. It's definitely that! it's awesome. You can reserve hang out with your buddies or your car clubs etc and enjoy the view, Take in the stars, fresh air, New Jersey air that is lol.Parking: Right across the street,Municipal parking lot

I read about this place through a few reviews, and people in the pro wrestling scene around Jersey City. I came down from Connecticut with my girlfriend for Jersey J Cup at the White Eagle. I took a special side trip all the way to Paulie's Brickhouse.I was NOT even close to disappointed. Mostly because I had stopped here last year for pizza after Jersey J Cup as well. We decided to sit at the bar because why the hell not?The pizza was even better than the last time. My girl got a white pizza, and I got a pepperoni pizza. It came out fast AF, hot AF, and perfect looking AF. The service was great as the bartender kept our drinks topped off the whole time.Paulie's also had people playing Parcheesi at tables, and a general fun atmosphere. 10/10 ***** will return again, and again.

Bar seems nice, good location. Staff was also very kind. However the pizza is way too salty. I won't be back

Went to the rooftop for the first time for a birthday party on 7/22/23. Ordered the drink in the bag. They were not worth the price. Barley any alcohol and on top of it they put tons of ice which watered it down even more. Tried ordering a regular drink in the small cups, and it was just as bad. You are better going with beer or wine.

Paulie's makes a strong drink, but what really made me keep coming year after year around spring/summer is because a lot of people aren't aware that they have a rooftop option that looks spectacular at night. Once they open around 7PM, they will walk you out of the building to a different entrance with an elevator. Once you're up, you have a breath-taking view of the Manhattan Skyline and some really strong, cold drinks to enjoy it with. They also put a lot of their drinks into a bag, which makes for a really interesting experience in and of itself.

(Delivered 12/11/2022 SU @ 5:00pm): Paulie's a brick... house, but what about the pizza!?In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout Jersey City, my friend and I finally tried Paulie's Brickhouse to fill my pizza craving. With a sizable Italian community, and I already ate some wonderful pizza from neighborhood Gino's Pizzeria and Rizzo's Bakery, I was expecting nothing less. We first came across this eatery while walking along Central Ave., and all I kept saying was "Pole-eee" with my best Italian accent; luckily, I didn't get whacked! Did Paulie have the goods cooking in his brickhouse!?PURCHASE6pc Mozzarella Sticks ($8.00): Nothing really special about these although we loved the extra cheesiness when we bit into them, and the side of marinara dipping sauce was more watery than we liked (this was an easy fix) yelp.com/user_local_phot….6pc Buffalo Wings ($9.50): There was nothing really special about these as well, and they weren't hot at all. There was a good amount of meat on each piece. Otherwise, this was a one-and-done for us yelp.com/user_local_phot….16" The Newport Pizza ($22.00): Made with vodka sauce, mozzarella, chicken, mushrooms, peas, and prosciutto, all on a medium-thick crust, this was a lovely unique pie (who would consider peas!?) where all the ingredients somehow managed to pair well with each other. Everything tasted fresh, I honestly couldn't taste vodka in the sauce, and I wished the prosciutto slices were smaller in order to have more bites of them on each slice. Otherwise, this was a yummy pizza that served us for two nights yelp.com/user_local_phot….3pc Cannolis ($8.00): Your standard sweet ricotta and chocolate chip-filled flaky pastry shell, each was sizable and blissful to eat. The shell held together well and didn't crumble, which held everything together. I'd leave a gun for these yelp.com/user_local_phot…!SERVICEI easily placed my order over the phone for a designated delivery time (no fee!), a friendly gentleman repeated my order back to me, and about 45 minutes later, a young man was at the doorstep with our order all securely packed up - grazie!PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance)This was a moot point in this case since our food was delivered. Otherwise, I didn't notice any parking lot, but there seemed to be plenty of spots along the main drag of Central Ave. and all surrounding side streets. - nuff said.ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCESadly, my only recollection of this place while we walked by was a clean dark facade and a large glass window that looked inside to a ton of chairs and tables. Apparently, they also had a rooftop bar yelp.com/user_local_phot…. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front window and door while electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I noticed some TVs but was unsure about any background music.ATTIRETotally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops... but I was dressed-down for delivery.OVERALLPaulie's Brickhouse didn't disappoint - at least on the pizza and cannoli - so, I wouldn't mind a return visit for other interesting specialty pizzas. Sadly, the appetizers were fine but nothing really stood out about them. The prices were comparable, I loved the pizza and dessert, good portion sizes, extensive menu, and straightforward service. I hoped to check out the rooftop area one day and enjoy a sit down meal with a beer. Plus, I always preferred to support small mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $51.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS
